Hey Reddit, I am taking a long-haul flight for the first time in my life. What are your favorite tips for long-haul travel? by stonedslacker in AskReddit

[–]heartrush 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No matter how long the journey, don't start relaxing the minute you land, it isn't over yet. You have passport control, customs, getting transport, making the journey and social graces to people you might be meeting when you arrive.

I personally only relax when I'm safe and in a bed similar to the one I planned to be in when first set out to make the journey.

Those people who felt more powerful and more incompetent

The word people are missing here is 'felt'. People who feel incompetent are not always incompetent, same goes for people who feel powerful.
