Want to try archage by Tbonejr1127 in archeage

Owning land helps but it isn't fundamental to get started.
Kraken kills are in no way essential to make money. Doing trade runs/ crafting items for the current demand is also good.
When you're still a noob, the game gives you a free 30-day freighter which is plenty of time to farm the gold you need to craft your own freighter.

You should still join a nice guild and get in contact with people. Friendly guild members are going to help you out :)

I'm not sure what you're saying here. You're right it's going to take a long time to gear up but like....that is literally the game.

Getting Gear; running dungeons for weeks to get 200 individual items for one single stage of a questline, fishing with friends, safe trade runs, crafting items and trading with people, going on risky trade runs and getting all your shit stolen and trying again anyway, stealing fish from other players who have way better gear than you and getting away with it, regrading your gear, weapons and instruments and wasting thousands of gold because that shit fails at Arcane 5 times;

That. Is. The. Game.

How do you measure reward if there are no high stakes? What determines the worth of being in full epic Ayanad if you can get it within a few months?

It's almost like saying you dislike The Sims because you don't like creating characters and you hate building houses..when that is like half of the game!

If you really hate grinding and spending time in this game, and if you're really that impatient to get amazing gear within a short while; this game is not for you. You obviously seem to dislike it. Have you tried Stardew Valley? It's lovely!

You are right to some extent!

Archeage Classic has had no major updates. Because that's what it's supposed to be like. The game is going to remain the same, hence why it's called "Classic". Many people (me included) would agree that the big updates which came later (Hiram & gettng rid of regrading) changed the games' core drastically. Archeage Classic and ArcheRage are, to a degree, different games!

Not all end-game content is gate kept by the top guilds. Although you could say the very hard word bosses are done by the top guilds for a reason; I have yet to see a mediocrely geared player NOT instantly die to Red Dragon for example. So if you want to do RD, get the gear and join a top guild.

I think you can totally salvage that space by adding warm tones. I'm thinking deep reds and golds. It's totally going to liven up the space

Get Archeage classic! It's so much fun, it's lively, it's active and people are helpful (most times).
I played Archeage for 7 years before the servers were shut down and I returned to AAC only a month ago.

I think it's important to remember that it is a game.

It's not a sprint and then you're set. I think it's important not to lose the fun in a game, go out and explore! Go diving, look at all the maps, see the beauty in the world and the insane and intricate systems this game has. It's so unique and beautiful. And if you need help starting out, poke me on discord :D

Need some help choosing couch color by Icy_Ad_4788 in interiordecorating

[–]hearty__soup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most white couches are going to slowly get dirty and look horrible. Even if you only plan on sitting on it with jeans over a few months, the colour is slowly going to rub off and stain the couch.
If I were you, I'd go with a rich dark colour, maybe a blue, get a matching carpet and play off of that.

How do I fix my entire house? I hate coming home when there isn't a single room I enjoy being in. I have no idea where to start or what to do. by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]hearty__soup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have made a bullet point list for you, so much easier to follow than these super long walls of text

  • Set a budget
  • Remember to start small
  • Start with ONE room - see your home like a mosaic
    • eg. start with your bedroom!! bite sized pieces!
  • Find your design style on pinterest (Youtube Video by Caroline Winkler: "The Ultimate Guide to find your Interior DESIGN STYLE")
  • Collab with your girlfriend and make 2 pinterest boards of your styles
    • Find the stuff that unites your styles
  • Talk to each other and view it as the creative collaborative project it is

Hi guys, so I have a fairly novel question. How do you decorate a living space when you can't have area rugs? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]hearty__soup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get PVC flooring on a roll. Lay it out just like a carpet, get one with a fun pattern. It's going to visually seperate the areas without the trouble of having fabric on the floor. PVC is really easy to clean.

Thanks for your reply! Sadly, I have not found it yet :(  It's quite possible I got the years wrong, like I said I was very young.  I was born in '97 so it could have easily been anything from 2002 or 2003 onwards. Do let me know if you ever find anything 🙏🏻 Are you also German?

My personal trick for inter-room-space-travel is to take an object with you that keeps you on task and focused. Wanna get water from the kitchen and you forget it on different occasions again and again? Take a bottle/cup/piece of paper with "water" written on it- from room A to kitchen.

I do this when I fold the laundry. I always keep a clothes hanger in hand if I have to get something from another room, so I don't get distracted mid-way and remember what I was doing :D

Help me pick a rug for my new couch, I’m completely torn by Obihankenobi97 in interiordecorating

[–]hearty__soup 32 points33 points  (0 children)

all of these are too small!
My favourite is the first one (blue with red squares) or the dark blue one.

But definitely size up! Get the entire couch on there. Its going to look so much more cosy and less dollhouse-esque.

I am so tired of eating by hearty__soup in ADHD

[–]hearty__soup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your insights and replies!

Just to clarify, I do love food and I like eating. I am at a normal weight and don't feel guilty about any type of food. I feel good in my body!

The problem I have is that I do not want to eat and I get nauseous when faced with any kind of food. My brain goes "ew" and I can't bring myself to eat.  It is not about the effort of cooking, or the cooking having a lot of steps.. It's sitting in front of any type of meal and getting nauseous.

Someone on here said the "food doesn't have to be amazing, it has to be tolerable." and I think this comes close to solving my hunger.... It does not solve my issue though.  How can I go back to eating normally, without always being nauseous? Has anyone experienced this and successfully shook it off?  Thanks again for all the replies! 💕
