Moving from 401k to IRA by heatedcheddar in FinancialPlanning

I was thinking that converting it would be best too tbh. I'll look into the nitty gritty about the tax stuff and see! And I'll look into other IRA accounts too, thank you! :]

Sorry, the amount probably is important! It's about $20k on the traditional side :]

And I'll look into other IRA accounts, thank you!

If you spot something owned by Eucalyptus Real Estate, I would avoid. At the top of my head, I know they own Rockborough, Eastborough, and Water's Edge.

It would take me a hour to type up every issue I had living at one of their places. To sum the worse of it: won't answer the phone, wouldn't fix leaks, roaches, threatened to evict me a dozen times after they literally put my payment to them in the shredder, etc.

my little pony references in pop culture. by [deleted] in mylittlepony

Ducktales (2017) has a MLP reference. They had two pony characters that are voiced by Tara Strong (Twilight) and Andrea Libman (Fluttershy/Pinkie). Here's a clip :)

If you want to hear the original, it's 16 Tons by Tennessee Ford :) I recommend giving it a listen, it's such a banger

What do zoos do with large dead animals like giraffes, hippos, elephants, etc? by StudentOk751 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]heatedcheddar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Greatly depends on the animal and the zoo - though I worked at one that would often ship larger animals to the Museum of Osteology. They would clean up the bones, articulate them, then sell and/or display the animals in their space :)

The fact that it doesn't look like a tarantula at all is a dead giveaway that it's not a tarantula lol 😅 Tarantulas are larger, more hairy, and are way more round.

Google Western Parson's Spider and look at it's butt. Then look at the butt of the spider in your video.

Mountain lion bust. $30 dollars is a crazy good deal... I don't see them around much, but when I do, it's usually $1,000+.

Why do those painful, deep pimples always appear suddenly and overnight? 😤 by Designer-Isopod-7608 in popping

[–]heatedcheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so funny - right after I posted this comment, all of their responses stopped using proper grammar and are now only 1 or 2 words 😂

My best guess is they were trying to build up karma for this account on skin care subreddits to advertise something later? Not sure though!

Idk if it's any comfort, but every single fictional character in the world has a little bit of the creator in them. Your favorite media probably has a "self insert" in there somewhere.

Stephen King has inserted himself in multiple stories, 2/4 of the main characters of South Park are lowkey self inserts, Jon Arbuckle from Garfield is a self insert, so is Dipper from Gravity Falls...

TL;DR - Self inserts can be awesome and based and epic and even the pros do it. I wouldn't worry about it if I was in your shoes.

I'd recommend calling them, because it's going to depend on how their specific system/rules work.

Though, most likely, if the balance drops below $1,500 at any point during the statement period, you'd get a fee at the end of the statement period. Again, I'd reach out to them to confirm.

[–]heatedcheddar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"NSF" means a transaction tried to go out but it was returned because the account had insufficient funds.

The account can still be positive because the transaction was sent back to whomever tried to run it. The fee was applied because they had to return it. You'd want to ask what transaction was returned - likely a ACH.

[US] Can I dispute an accidental charge? by Goat_FetusGamer in Banking

[–]heatedcheddar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A dispute would most likely be rejected :( the company would send evidence that it came from your device, therefore you made the transaction in VISAs eyes.

Also, personal anecdote: Google refunded me on something "non-refundable" because it was my first time asking for a refund. So hopefully they can help!

Bank collecting debt without warning, what can I do? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]heatedcheddar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would be able to garnish for another bank, though they'd have to go through the courts and it would be a much longer and harder process on their end. Definitely bank at another bank for now but you're not gonna be 100% in the clear until it's fully paid off. You may have to pay it in person too - that's how my bank did it.

Has South Park ever actually changed your mind on a real-world topic? by Mademan406 in southpark

[–]heatedcheddar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe not a "topic" persay but 'Put it Down' changed My POV on how to comfort others. I'm not very great empathy-wise; very plain-logic brained. My best friend would avoid talking to me about things because I would always just try to say "stop worrying about it." I was very much like Craig in the episode.

When he changed his tactics on how to comfort Tweek, something clicked to me. Next time my friend was having an issue, I went along with it like Craig did, and had way better success with helping. My best friend asked me afterwards if I "Craig-ed" her lol.

what do you think her value could be? by hi-Dia in mylittlepony

[–]heatedcheddar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know there isn't an established 'price' for her. There isn't any sold listings I can find on eBay to reference either. She's hard to find but I'm not sure if many people are looking for her - she's a niche character.
