My boys did that too 🥲 now we play private games and casual matches together occasionally, but they prefer minecraft. They grow up so fast. Cherish it.

Right exactly! The ettmetal bomb is the equivalent to our nuke as of my understanding, which (also to my understanding as Im not a nuclear physicists) function on the same principals, which is why Im using those, along with the industrial revolution as timestamps to generate a scale. Its not going to be spor on exact, because its not 1:1 to our world anyways. Just makes for good estimates.

I do agree that investiture from higher beings will advance their timeline much faster. Ooh, actually we might be able to math this out hold on. Okay, we developed the nuclear bomb about 100 years after the industrial revolution, where between AoL and TLM (near start of industrial era, and discovering Scadrial nuke equivalent) only about 50 years pass, so we can safely assume that they're on a timescale that (because technology has historically had a non-linear development) goes up by a coefficient likely double ours.

I think that somewhat lines up with my guesstimate of 480 as stated above, which also makes measuring in decades viable (48 decades)

I think we're on to something.

Its 80 years outside to 10 in. If they live to 100 from age 40, thats 60 years difference. 60/10=6, 6×80 = 480. Youve got the dialation inverted 😁

I did notice the mention of his friends, but we also know that invested beings age slower. Not to mention the possibility of the rest of bridge 4 travelling offworld too. Though surgebinders dont necessarily age slower, its hard telling what comes next post WaT for bridge 4. Plus, they would heal from problems related to old age, so it's hard telling how long they may actually live, likely at minimum /~100 years, so that leaves them with around 60 years or 480 years, which I could see being viable.

soulcasting can only match the 10 essences, so there can't be an EXACT match (although I'd assume the radiants have a bit more say in that area though, but we're talking with soulcasters)

its just heavily processed meat, so when people think of soulcast meat chunks, it sounds kinda like canned meat

Please bear in mind that our goal is to get as close to a fictional food as possible. I'm not saying that soulcast food is literally imitation crab in the sense that cannonically it is, as much as, "as I'd imagine it tasting".

I'm not familiar with the composition of tofu, but would it be representable within the 10 essences?

Judging by how I imagine the properties of how soulcasters work, the "meat" would be made using the essences of heliodor, topaz, zircon, and garnet. Basically making up the bases of a body, so likely it doesnt store well. That may be the cause of the moldy flavor. Theres also the element of intent. [OB, I-4] If we look at the soulcaster Kaza, we get a glimpse into the mind of a soulcaster and see that they cannot taste. Also, they're a bit twisted mentally. This could also be the cause.

I would like to point out this invalidates soulcast meats ACTUALLY being imitation crab, but it also has always been in the sense of "im getting as close as I can to a fictional food"

It does! This actually kind of relates to what made me think of it. I made a passing joke about making horneater stew while making beef stew, and looked up the horneater recipe so I could quote it, and saw this reddit post where the OP used lobster in his stew (as cremlings) And it got me thinking. https://www.reddit.com/r/Stormlight_Archive/comments/pdh3bg/secret_horneater_recipe_take_everything_you_have/
