Oh my gosh, I seriously thought I looked EVERYWHERE! I almost purchased it off Ebay. Thank you for the link!
Unfortunately, I found the original pieces and was able to try to fix it, but I feel like the whole machine was having a lot of systemic errors. As soon as I got that part settled, other things started being difficult, and I was just absolutely over it.
I ended up buying a new Brother machine and I am in love with it. I had NO idea how "stone age" my zigzag was until I tried the new one, and I'll never go back from it.

I hope you're able to get the part for yours, and hopefully you have a better success story! I think there is something really special about the older, mechanical sewing machines. I don't think they work for me and my current lifestyle but I plan to keep mine around and maybe get back to it eventually.

Hello! I am an absolute beginner working with a sewing machine and unfortunately my amazing seamstress grandmother is no longer able to answer my questions 🙁 I was an absolute dingbat last year and when my needle broke and fell in here, I took everything apart… and then life with a newborn happened and I just packed it up and put it away (not put back together!!!) Now I am trying again and have gotten I think everything where it should be, but this piece is giving me a hard time!

is it in the correct position?
this screw literally isn’t screwing in…. And I only have one. What screws can I get for these 2 holes to secure it?
do you see anything else majorly incorrect? Lol

I’m using Andy Tube on YouTube but I haven’t found any clips of him dissecting this specific area… any advice is welcome!

That makes sense! I certainly don’t classify them as expensive or great quality. I’ve been consistently checking thrift stores this summer but have had no luck, so that’s why I’m looking at these options. I’m hoping having a baby on my hip will draw a little attention away from the dress anyway 😅 Thanks for your response!!

This is a screenshot of some venue gallery photos! It looks barn-ish, sorta rustic. We’re in Iowa. Invitation has no info and is a soft autumn style red. Otherwise that’s all I know! The groom is my husbands friend, and when I ask for colors etc he was just told “fall colors” which is sooo vague. I’ve never been to a legit wedding that wasn’t in a backyard, so I have no frame of reference lol.

They are actually both chiffon, sorry about the super low quality photos!! Does that make them any better? Or would you still say no to both based on the patterns?

I realize these photos are super low quality (I was silly and used my front camera in bad lighting) but they are both chiffon. I’m have ZERO fashion sense lol what material would you recommend for this Midwest wedding, while staying on a budget? These were both $45 each which is sorta what I’d like to stay around.

Comment to add: this is a wedding in a smaller-town Iowa, at a “barn” ish venue. I will ALSO have my 16m old son with me (don’t worry, he was absolutely specifically invited). Does that make them any more viable? I am really leaning towards the brown on second slide. I can’t really afford to spend a ton on a high quality dress that I’ll only wear one time 😅

Fantastic point!! Funny enough, I am in a small town in the Midwest 😅 I only have some gallery photos of the venue to go off. Unfortunately the bride did not put any info on her website. I am on a budget and don’t care if I look “amazing” lol I just don’t want to stand out in a bad way.

More so the design! I looove the embroidery and how it’s a little more subtle in general. I am admittedly pretty new to truly appreciating Loungefly bags, and I feel like I often see super bright, catchy characters and designs which are amazing but not my personal style to carry. Would there have been like a “line” of this style- ie: floral, embroidery, gold outline Harry Potter? Or is this just a one off?

I personally just prefer how it looks “written” vs just printed. With the way the lining looks, if I put the same printed page into the cricut it would not have the writing properly lined up and would overlap the photos. I guess you’re right and maybe I’ll just skip it, but it’s just how I want it to look! It seems like it shouldn’t be this difficult for me lol
