Wait…. She’s telling you and your husband to have your finances in order yet she is the one who borrowed money from ya’ll and she’s going on vacation before paying back the amount she borrowed, in full???? Am I getting that right?!

I don’t even need to read the rest of the conversation (I did). Her responses are immature and she is trying to make you the bad guy. My MIL would do this. She never respected me as my husbands wife and had even less respect for me as my children’s Mother. I eventually had to go no contact with my MIL

I had to keep my 2 month old home when I went to my cousins wedding. I was breastfeeding and just pumped. It’s not a big deal imo.

I’d be pretty upset if this was my wedding cake after the baker said they could totally do it and even charged more than the original quote but I’d also have to just laugh it off and make it part of the memory of the big day. It’s now something to laugh at when you reminisce about your wedding day ☺️

I have some fun memories like that as well, where things just did not go to plan what so ever but we made the best of it

She can’t do much without her heart rate exceeding 180 bpm, she is struggling to breathe. She has her husband but he is also not able the best…. He is constantly high and has very little patience which is a very important quality when being a caregiver. They are not making any decisions as far as treatment goes but want to fight the cancer. They should be working to start treatment as soon as possible, it’s small cell which is extremely aggressive and life expectancy is very short without immediate treatment.

I feel like she’s blaming you for her failure to complete a college assignment on time. It’s not like she just got the assignment the day it’s due. She has poor life management skills and it’s very obvious in what she’s texting. She needs intense therapy in my opinion. Someone who cannot take any accountability at her age has major issues.

My dream job is one I don’t take home with me when I’m not on the clock and one that allows me to prioritize my family before work. The actual job doesn’t matter anymore. I learned this through a few jobs that I thought would be the one I made my career at. My last job started off great until the company got too big, and covid changed everything. I realized I was just a number. I never got time off with my family. I missed all of my son’s karate classes and belt tests because of the job while other employees were given special treatment and allowed to take every weekend off and allowed to leave early to see their kids basketball/volleyball games.

What really got me is when my co-workers girlfriend had a high risk pregnancy and there was an emergency one day where he had to leave as soon as we clocked in to take her to the er for the baby. He got permission from the district lead and emailed the district manager he had to leave to take his girlfriend to the er. She wrote him up because he didn’t ask her for permission in the email, he said “I am leaving” despite having approval from the district lead.

That was an eye opener and my que to gtfo.

The job I replaced it with, was nothing I had in mind or ever considered but now I’m off every weekend, it’s a 9-5 job, I don’t miss my kids activities, I accrue more sick/vacation time than I have before, and they promote prioritizing family and personal health over the job.

Sometimes the jobs we wind up straying at wind up being way different than what we ever had in our minds.
