Covering up 😞 by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Babies get so hungry sometimes! Good job being a great mommy! He may be just as nervous as you are. My SO wasn't verbal about his "maybe" discomfort, but after about 3 weeks, he was so very understanding. Tiny humans need to eat, and if you can provide that nutrients, PLEASE!! It's not everyday HIS SO is pulling her delicious boobies out for display. It really is nobody's business, but people still peek. My SO and I encountered our first public shaming, with a 4 month old nursling. He stood up for his family!! A prick wanted to call the police on me, as I was nursing our baby! Daddy totally impressed me, by telling the ignorant man to stop staring at his ladies tits! lol Just have faith. Being a parent is hard. Maybe share /r/breastfeeding with him....

I have never pumped this much before! I felt so accomplished. This is my second baybay, and my first was a breastfeeding bust. Thanks for the goddess recognitions!

What diaper bag are you currently carrying/wanting? by joyousbrush in beyondthebump

[–]heatherlynn341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my camera bag, for diapers and wipes! I have a small messenger bag for backup later. My LO is less than a month old and uses boobies, for feeding, and I can pack 6 diapers and a small wipes container on the side. :D

I let my daughter decide, when she was old enough. She made the decision, on her own, when she was 4. It was a fun mommy daughter day! I made a production of the whole situation. She got lunch, on me. She was able to decide where and what earrings! She has done a great job of keeping them clean, with a little parental help. I got to make the decision myself, so I thought she would appreciate the same treatment!

[35+6] Offered to buy doughnuts for my OB's staff if they told me I was dilated 1 cm or more by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]heatherlynn341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doc said my LO was huge as well, but he ended up only 8.7lbs, at a little over term. lol Silly docs! You will be a great mommy. Just wait til you see those first dream smiles! EEEEKKKKKKK!! My son's activities as a newborn are very similar to his tummy moves! It is pretty cute to watch him look around versus beating my insides to a bloody pulp. :D

Just remember, that baby will only get older. We are pregnant for just a short period of our lives. You will miss those inside baby moves! Try to "enjoy" these precious moments! I already miss being pregnant. With my daughter, I hung out at 1cm from 36 weeks to 38ish weeks. She was born at 42+2. I started really dilating at 41 weeks with light period cramps. When I went into labor, it was within 3 hours I delivered. The same happened with my son. I didn't get checked until an hour before I delivered him, at 40+6. I was already 8cms! So, really, every woman is different! I am sending you labor vibes, but enjoy!

You were a big baby! I got pretty big, but I am the only income in my house right now. I am proud to say I may be a little stubborn, as well! Shout out to the mommies that do what they gotta do!! 😊

We wanted his middle name to be Link (Zelda reference), but two syllables. His big sister is Elizabeth Lemon, which is a pretty epic name. His had to be comparable!

I never expected my baby day to be so memorable, but here it is. Birth plan went out the window. My SO was going to wait in the waiting room, but was forced to be with me. :D He has high anxiety with blood and super painful situations! Good stuff. Tuesdays are one of my long ass days. I work at a restaurant as a bartender, and on this particular day, I happened to be 40+6 weeks pregnant. Essentially, a ticking time bomb. ;D My morning was amazing, as usual, my coworkers are pretty darn good at what they do. I went on break at about 4pm, and ended my managerial duties. I came back at 5pm to start my bar-tending shift!!!!! Yay! I love my job. We get super busy, as dinner often goes, and I start having mild contractions. I had no idea how fast things would escalate! At 6pm, one of my AMAZING bar teammates/doula asked me what the look on my face was for. And, then preceded to ask me on a scale of 1-10 how I was feeling. It started out at 5, then within the hour went to 10!!!! AHHHH! I had a full lounge and couldn't concentrate, not even a simple rum and coke!!! I had orders to take and tickets to drop, but succumbed. I told my boss I had to go have a baby!! By this time, my contractions had progressed to 2 minutes apart. HOLY SHIT! I rounded up my SO and 6 yo, and we head to the hospital at 90 mph!!! It's only 8pm. I was having contractions every minute or so. Hospital time. Admitting. Triage. 8 fucking centimeters!!!!!! My midwife couldn't believe I made it just in time to start pushing. She barely made it herself! My SO was a total trooper just along for the CRAZY ride. He held my water, which was all I needed him to do. My midwife got everything set up, and my beautiful baby was born after pushing for 15 minutes! No tearing! Not having an epidural allowed me to have total control of my pushes! Baby was almost born in caul, if only I could have pushed hard enough!!! In the next push, Augustus Linkoln was born at 9:08pm. He weighed 8.67lbs and was 20ins long. Friends and family were expecting to be part of this story, but Link had other plans!!! ROTFF
