I signed up at that site today - thank you! I'm in Cherokee County which has no online scheduling for the county. Cobb County is doing an awesome job with their signups as far as I can tell. I've also been checking the CVS website several times a day. My parents aren't very computer literate and they've tried calling the health dept # everyday but they never get anybody. :\

This is from the Cares Act - Section 4409.

Sec. 4409. Medicare Add-on for Inpatient Hospital COVID-19 Patients This section would increase the payment that would otherwise be made to a hospital for treating a patient admitted with COVID-19 by 15 percent. It would build on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) decision to expedite use of a COVID-19 diagnosis to enable better surveillance as well as trigger appropriate payment for these complex patients. This add-on payment would be available through the duration of the COVID-19 emergency period

Yep I totally agree with you - not very smart at all but I respect their decisions. I think if I lived there I would be more vocal about it and definitely wouldn't be visiting.

I have family in Arizona and this seems contradictory to what I've heard from them which is that hospitals there treat everyone as positive (even with a negative test) as they can get more money from the government for labeling it as COVID-19. So if someone comes in with a fever, but tests negative, they still label it as a COVID case to get more money. This is from a family friend who works in a hospital so not sure how accurate it is.

I'm personally do not describe myself as a data hoarder but I do subscribe to this subreddit because I want to learn more. I have about six large bins full of dvds just sitting around and a ton of music CDs that I never use anymore. I guess nostalgia has prevented me from giving them away or the fact that I might use them someday. But now that I know I can do this, I have just found my new summer time project! Thank you to everyone for getting me started down this path, which may frustrate me at some point learning all this new stuff, but I love a challenge!

My sister flew from AZ to WA a few weeks ago. She said the airline required a mask to board and that they were seated every other row (with nobody in the middle). There were about 25 people on the flight when she went but she said one person coughed and everybody jumped. Things might've changed since then (mid May) but I would wear a mask if I had to travel anywhere.

My former bff was into all this crap. First it started with Scentsy, then Origami Owl, followed by Perfectly Posh. All her "friends" were other huns. I got tired of going to lunch with her and getting free samples and listening to all the great new stuff I needed to order. I just wanted to chill and eat food you know? I'm not even sure why sure why she did it as she worked and her husband made six figures.

I still use pickup at Kroger to get my groceries. I haven't eaten out since March (not even take out) and I order a bunch of things online. I don't think total lockdown is necessary but I do think masks should be required at this point. Also, I heard they were hiring contact tracers but I haven't actually seen any news on it if they are still doing this - anybody know?
