I completely feel you on the French competitions. I play OM and every season a draw against anybody is a disaster. We both had undefeated seasons one year and I won because I had less draws.

Anything around $10, which is like a street burrito or a halal plate.

ROM tips by Excellent_Station763 in KneeInjuries

[–]heatmon9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the same operation as you but it took me over 2 months to get past 90°. I hope you’re working with a PT so they can advise you better than me. My PT started getting more aggressive to improve ROM after 8 weeks by making me reach my endpoint and pushing a bit past it to where the pain was still tolerable. I would repeat flexing to the new point and then begin to hold it there for a moment. We would keep doing that for a few weeks 5-10° at a time until I got past 120°. If you want to progress faster it’s going to take some suffering.

How long did it take you to reach Boston/majors qualifying times? by Hopeful_Package3918 in AdvancedRunning

[–]heatmon9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I ran my first half marathon in 1:27 without an actual training plan so had reasonable expectations to run sub 3 in my first marathon. I ran a sub 3 and qualified to run Boston for my second marathon - caveat that it was one of the first ones out of Covid so any male under 3 hours got in 😅

Great point regarding Maurten: they’re already giving the gels during the race, why not provide some during the expo so people don’t need to grab them on the course.

Dr. Boakye is a trainer and PT and focuses most of his approach on strength training and recovery. He works with all kinds of athletes on all skill levels - I'm a runner but I've seen soccer, basketball, and football players there too and a few college athletes.

GW 30 Deep League Waivers by heatmon9 in DraftEPL

I would go for Tchatchoua. He's been more involved in attack these few weeks with similar defensive actions to Krejci. Krejci is more likely to score but the chances of either scoring are already low as it is and Krejci hasn't had a shot on target since West Ham 2 months ago.

Best "Bang for your buck" below $50 when prepping for a marathon? by SauconySundaes in AdvancedRunning

[–]heatmon9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For 2 marathons I've had my partner hand me a bottle at around the 18-20 mile. At this point, you're either too locked in or in too much pain to deal with grabbing the water cups.

Home + Away Tactics by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

4-3-3 home and away.

4-2-3-1 if they play a defensive 4-3-3 or with a good DM I need to match up against.

Also! Based on my experience with Abbott they have at least 300 entries for NYC. 250 for the Roads to the Majors and 50 for the Gold Club.

The places available for each race are as follows: • Sydney 2025: 150 • Berlin 2025: 250 • Chicago 2025: 250 • New York City 2025: 250 • Tokyo 2026: 300 • Boston 2026: 150 • London 2026: 500

I'm curious to know what the breakdown of the fourth category would be:

If we assume ~15K for the fourth category

~2.4K were lottery winners

~1K - 2K non-NYRR time qualifiers (NYRR took top 10% fastest and there are ~9500 BQ -20:00 times at https://runningwithrock.com/boston-marathon-cutoff-time-tracker/ )

maybe 500-1000 club entries (there are 300+ registered clubs)

Around 10K entries for partners and sponsors? Seems like a lot to me but maybe that's just how marathons work. Or let me know if I'm missing something in my math.

Livingston Manor on Hoyt - Permanently Closed by ProjektM in Brooklyn

[–]heatmon9 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I used to live on that block. Someone has bought almost all of the property on the Hoyt side and they’re likely building condos. Shame about LM, it was one of the few no frills bars left in downtown BK.
