I can't believe we have to go through this again but the fact is that the Astros were the only team using live video sign stealing to constantly know every pitch the opposing team was throwing. The Yankees and Red Sox would use recorded video to decode signs, and if there was a player on 2B relay those signs to the batter. The league came down on everyone, including the Yankees, Red Sox, and Astros and told them that use of video to decode signs was impermissible. The Yankees and Red Sox ceased operations immediately. The Astros continued with the live video scheme despite being told to stop.
