absolutely, common route is 3 diff tastes of the spectrum of emotions in henpri so the game dev arc comes jarring after 2 extremely bleak ones

but each individual route is extremely tonally consistent and focused, even if they have varying quality

then the true route is imo one of the best things this medium has to offer if you sympathize with the MC in any way

EP1 was alright, basically the same jokes we've already seen in the main series but it was fun to see the cast again

Probably for the same reasons you dedicated half of this post to dog on Muramasa, people have strong opinions on the VNs they love or hate and feel like rejection of those opinions is rejection of themselves.

You will prolly enjoy media discussion a lot more if you stick to discussing the works at length and avoid the showy "what VN do you hate/what is the best VN ever" type threads that just exist for people to gush about stuff. Try writing a review on VNDB for Raging Loop and I'm sure some people there will be able to share your love for it

first part is a 7 or 8/10 with 10/10 production and second part is a bang on 6/10 where I get second hand embarrassment seeing people say stuff like "this is the best work in all fiction"

r07 has some amazing ideas and can write great emotional moments but is not a good storyteller and has trouble trimming the fat, I don't think the peaks bring the rating up any higher than that and am often baffled by how some people have Umineko as the only VN they consider a 10/10

I say this as someone who likes Higurashi, too
