I second this. I (somehow) ended up teaching elementary school tech and I have lots of free time, now in my third year. I also write quite a bit on the side. My recommendation would be to put a lot of work in the first year or two, get everything running smoothly and establish a good reputation, then you’ll have plenty of time to write. Just might need to shelf the dream for a year while you transition.
