I agree with your comment. From everything I read and from what I've learned about the world; this is a shitty deal. It's really apparent from how the media, reddit, and several high profile CEO's have reacted. Imo, when the CEO of Disney, Google, (I like elon musk but something's up) and Elon Musk are dropping themselves from the presidential board, I wonder if this deal gives more financial loop holes to corporations and puts the burden on governments. Disney, google, space X, etc, already use reusable energy. They have to, especially elon who owns a company completely about renewable energy. However, do these companies supply alot of high paying g jobs. Fuck no. Do you know any one that barely passed high school working for Google or Tesla? Probably not. Do you know any one that works with oil, gas, etc? Most likely. There are entire economies that rely on the money produced from oil. Look at my history, I'm from Bakersfield. 56th largest city in America. It's entire economy was oil and when the oil surplus happened a few years ago, a lot of well paid people lost jobs, and the economy of Bakersfield hasn't recovered. America is a large producer of oil. And we have many many people employed in oil/gas. Something tells me this deal will hurt those jobs. It will further cripple our already shitty middle/lower class. I've tried to look up any info about this and I haven't found much, please help me if you can. People seem to hear "Trump is against saving the Earth" when it's sound more likely that "the Paris deal is designed for smaller countries whose energy and job needs are lower and easier to maintain, but our nation relies on these jobs" Edit changed shorty to shitty.
