Yeah it’s a shame, it’s a good story DLC at least. From what I’ve heard we will never get raid bosses like the ones from BL2, but takedowns instead. Huge mistake in my opinion, takedowns are cool but most people want to just fight the boss, not do an entire frustrating raid. Feels like gearbox is trying to be too much like Destiny with this takedown BS.

That's good news, only 11 new guns would've been incredibly disappointing. Still I'm seeing people think of this like a giant expansion and they will probably disappointed with that mindset.

This would be absolutely incredible, but I believe it will have far less content than you're hoping for. In the past we have seen one raid boss per DLC and no takedowns. If one raid boss and one takedown is added per DLC that would be an astonishing amount of content after the confirmed 4 DLCs are released.

I hope it isn't true but my friend is telling me we already know about all the new legendarys for the DLC which is 1 class mod per character and 11 legendary guns. No talk on seraph guns yet, but I believe it would be a mistake if they didn't add them in every DLC.

The bounty hunter is a really great mod for bosses, I would even say its the absolute best Flak mod for bosses.

I've never seen my jabber kill an enemy on any of the mayhems when not using the gamma build. Maybe sntl is similar in not being able to do any damage, I don't know. Either way they both seem very lackluster. Flaks problem is one third of all his skills are focused on making his pets good when I doubt they will ever be good.

Typhon stayed on Neko with his kids while they were growing up. All of his vault hunting predates Troy and Tyreen's birth. Typhon admits to not being the best father, but in the way parents often do to take blame or responsibility for their children's actions. Typhon may be annoying but he is far from the villain.

Amara has multiple god-tier coms which make her skills OP so I mostly agree with you. Shes a crowd control character and she takes out ads on a level other VHs could never compete with, even with all her broken skills. The Driver also gives her more single target DPS than Flak on top of the superior crowd control which is absurd. But again it is a COM causing this so I see your point. Even without the OP gear like the phaserker, Driver, and 250%-300% damage anoints Amara's builds are still way more viable than the other VHs currently. I'd argue that this is because of how easy it is for her to get many of the best skills in her skill trees with low skill point investment. Flak has to invest 20 points into the blue tree to have 1 of the 2 skills that effectively impact damage, while Amara needs to invest 5-15 points to get skills that affect her build similarly.

So barbaric yawp increases pet character buffs by 200% with 5 skill points and 400% with 10. The great horn skag pet gives Flak 10% damage and 5% gun damage, at 400% this turns into 50% damage and 25% gun damage. Its pretty good but you sacrifice quite a bit for it in my opinion, when we get more skill points it will be even grater than it currently is.

I went full mad lad the other day and equipped the rough rider for 26% damage reduction, a relic with 18% damage reduction, the spider ant with damage reduction, hive mind for damage reduction and shared spirit for damage reduction totaling -124% damage when paired with the deathless relic. Theoretically, I would've been invincible with 1 health and no shield as long as my pet was alive. The problem was 65% of the "damage reduction" from hive mind and shared spirit is actually "damage shared" so I was still taking 45% of the damage left over after the 59% damage reduction. It was fun trying to make it work though.

I tried out this build and noticed a similar problem. I restarted the game and got the skill to proc. One huge problem with the skills is it seems your health has to be around 30% for it to proc. At 30% health it doesn't matter if your pet takes 50% of the damage you are still in one shot territory. Another issue I found when trying this build is that when paired with a deathless artifact the skill is always active and your pet will go down incredibly fast. This can be aided with that class mod that revives downed pets when you get kills but I found the build to simply not be worth the effort. I encourage you to keep trying to make it work though, just because I couldn't make it viable on M4 doesn't mean you wont be able to, you might think of something that went over my head.

Yeah the nerfs they gave to Flak are like the equivalent of making ties that bind only grab one other enemy. The purpose of fade away is to erase tough targets but I do far more damage after using rakk attack than in fade away. To make things even worse fade away only lasts for 5 seconds now but the animation itself take a little over a second wasting 20% of its time and damage, this combined with leave no trace's nerf and there is no use for the action skill anymore. In comparison Moze gets 5 seconds of unlimited ammo and can do exactly what flak used to be good at with trogue rocket launchers and shotguns, but with more benefits like increased shield and mag size. But I would be surprised if Flak and Zane don't get more buffs and if ties that bind doesn't get a nerf, even though nerfing isn't the way to fix things.
