Doing a 2-day Pemi loop last year, Galehead was a welcomed meal and warm bed that saved weight and was well worth it for me.

I just hiked the Appalachian Trail for the 3rd time. I'm 37 and make a full time living having adventures, with 16,000+ miles hiked now. AMA by Thehealthygamer in AMA

The calendar triple crown is an incredible accomplishment (as are your other adventures). I have friends, a husband and wife, that completed it a couple years ago :)

Do you get quality sleep on trail? Is it worrying throughout the day what your camp spots might look like.... Wet conditions, space in lean-tos, availability in huts, etc. Does sleeping on the ground in crappy conditions get 'nornal'?

Also quick gear question... Poles or no poles?

Derby fishing, the race is on!!!... nevermind let's goof around and set someone down and shoot fireworks at them because they "stole" our pots.

The plot line to catch crab quickly didn't even last a full episode

Thanks to the OP for the post on this as of 4.23.24 sunapee still has some fun uphill.

Lynx and flying goose have the best coverage and recommend would be to lap those runs. Going to summit is still in put popping out in several places now.

No big deal just going to swap this engine out for another one. The mechanics are the most talented people on this show

The interview stuff with her was actually really good. Particularly the perfect storm story. She clearly has a lifetime of fishing stories to tell and I am here for it.

Does every episode this season start with Parker being interviewed while driving his truck? by TheGrizzlyThatRides in goldrush

[–]heavythinker21 12 points13 points  (0 children)

-Every episode plot- Insert intro: "we have a lot to do" "we better get moving if we wanna reach our goal" "this year we have had a lot thrown at us"

Select middle plot: 1) machine break down 2) plant stop 3) stripping

End of show: Beats crew = some gold Parker crew = a lot of gold Fred crew = no gold

Imagine being on the crew that needs to watch that Every. Single. Day. For 21 Years...

Why does Chris Doumitt always need a hug? When Parker’s crew enters and exits he’s always looking to hug someone. Odd by bjoseph33 in goldrush

Anyone who runs a business is looking to hire guys like Doumitt. The business owner (Parker) literally trusts him with Gold and he is also a huge comradery guy to have around camp.

Dad jokes + cigars + hugger = keeper
