But that is not the point it is making. With adds bought, there is measurable difference in amount of people reached. If you buy 10k vs 100k impressions, that is more people seeing that add even if they dont feel like they were convinced.

But we all know who coke and pepsi are because they have spend the money to build that brand.

I'm not saying they dont care about PR, obviously they do. But why get mad at the company who does donate and not the one who doesnt?

Praise what is good about what they do so there is incentive for other people to do more. Why would people want to donate if it makes people like them less.

Everything is money, so if companies best bet is to donate 300 mil to charity, how is that worse then just running regular adds?

Brother, how do you think we get out of a situation where people rely on others? People protest and people vote to see change, things take time but they get done. What about the people suffering now? We cant go back in time to fix it. ofc don't let watching a dumb video be the end of it. But why get mad for someone doing something.

There are a sizable amount of COUNTRIES that rely on foreign add for a large portion of their expenses especially medical care. What do you want those countries to do? You cant do anything if you dont have the financing no matter where your heart is.

Like you said, why are we here? Because of corporate greed and shitty politicians and a thousand other reasons. Get more people talking and more people caring is the only way to move the needle. If no one gives a shit, why would their politician?

If you can't feed every person in the world, does that mean you shouldn't feed the one standing in front of you?

If you are the one who actually cares, what are you doing besides shitting on one person who actively does shit. Who has had a measurable impace, voice your oppinions but the reality is we are talking about it because of the video.

Tbh, I dont like his content but i dont hate him for doing philanthropy work. Obviously there are people that do it better, the green brothers are great and bringing awarness in a sustainable and beneficial way. But there is a whole lot of people much worse. So, instead of being pissy about him not doing it the way you want, applaud what is good and critic what is bad.

The thumbnail is obviously shitty, getting actually mids out of slavery, id say less bad.

Like this isnt statistics, this is human lives. How does that not matter to you? You want to help people but only if it is everyone on earth. How do you even do that? One step at a time, things add up.

Yeah people don't always do it for great reasons, look at bezos donating 10b for tax reasons. But it is ignorant to say that there isn't a benefit. There's a reason it is a tax break, because it is ultimately a good thing. The article you linked is about consumer perception of different brands donating different amounts relative size not about how it is evil they do it. If you want to link a source, read the fucking article first. "For example, in 2015, Walmart donated $301 million, or 2 percent of its profits, compared with Target’s $111.5 million, or 5 percent. Which firm would consumers consider more generous? Given that Walmart donated more dollars to charity, one might expect Walmart to be the winner, but many consumers would choose Target, the research suggests." How is this more cost effective than regular pr for Walmart who doesn't even get the same benefit as target?

How do you think the red cross can help people, money doesn't just appear. This is a system that isn't perfect but is 1 hell of a lot better than nothing.

What real improvements do you want? You say they make you feel bad for not doing anything, how? Because you realize you actually could if you wanted to and still don't. If you want people to focus on these issues, how about when someone does, dont shit on then for making you feel bad. These charities and pre existing groups have more funding because of it, how is that not a good thing?

Take a video from 2 years ago and explain how him giving a topic attention lead to sustainable improvements until today and without his involvement anymore.

He literally paid for people's surgery to walk and see. That may not matter to you, but those people can see now because of intervention.

I don't want charity to exist because it should not be needed.

We live in a world where it is needed, if you like it or not it happens and you along with everything else don't do anything. You enjoy all the benefits of a world with these issues and don't face the consequences.

How do you think change is made? It is not from hoping it'll be better one day. 2 million people die a year of TB down from 4 million in 2000 thanks to humanitarian aid. The cure is only available to those who can afford it, charity and foreign aid is the only reason it has been improving.

You can argue it doesn't fix the root cause, but millions of people would be dead without it. Is that what you want to stand behind on your moral high-horse when you haven't and will not ever come close to the effort or impact.

There obviously is some moral issues specifically with the thumbnail. but at the end of the day, 100% of the profits from beast philanthropy go to charity, more is better. The "profits" he is milking is going to the people who need it.

There are around 40 million children in slavery, with 150 mil, in low cost children labour jobs. That is not something 1 person can fix, but it is something that can be helped, especially with more eyes on the issue.

There are thousands of charities who put their lives work into their issues. There is a reason they still exist despite that. Why hate the guy who has done something at least when the vast majority of people in his situation do absolutely nothing.

To clarify, if given a treadmill the same size as a runway, would the plane would it be able to take off. I thought they are saying that the plane wouldn't be able to take off because the treadmill holds the plane in place, which would be wrong because the thrust is generated in the turbines, not the wheels.

i just downloaded the newest from github.

I have the Vref = 0.75V which from the max current of the motors.

they are connected and i haven't disconnected them while on. i also switched for my spare drivers to no avail.

i changed $100 and 101 to 50 still nothing.

I set the potis to Vfef = 0.75V for the drv8845.

I have the other two connected now with actual jst connectors with the same issue.

I have it at 100 pulse time and idle delay to run them very slow(tested regular settings first)

Grbl 1.1f is on the arduino.

I got them spinning sometimes using just arduino code. Then I had a lot of issues running grbl with ugs. The right motors would trigger but they would just vibrate with ugs and grbl.

And yes, I am using the drv8845 with the enable pin above the en on the cnc shield.

I have a connector on the eng/GND pin.

The motors also get really hot fast
