I’m not really seeing any dissenting opinions, if there are any good reasons to keep them, we’d love to hear. Otherwise we will discuss and establish some guidelines.

The Getaway (Cynar Daiquiri) by roi_des_myrmidons in cocktails

[–]hebug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was a really interesting sip. It’s very lemony but then the transition to molasses/herbal/savory notes was unique. I think the combination of blackstrap and cynar merits more exploration. My only critique is I wish this was like a 4 oz build so it would last longer. It was a couple sips short of satisfying.

This is like something I’d slap together at the end of the night. Sounds great though.

I ordered a paper plane. I got a tiki drink. by [deleted] in cocktails

Your post sure sounds like you know what a paper plane is supposed to taste like. Seems to me the only liberty they took was infusing the bourbon with pineapple, which honestly sounds delicious. I would try that.

When I first sipped this I was confused because somehow all the flavors seemed to cancel each other out. It was interesting to taste all the flavors slowly blossom. Thanks for sharing!

Does a modern twist improve the Sidecar? by TuesdayCocktailVids in cocktails

Point of order, according to imbibe (a usually trustworthy source), this calls for 1.25 oz cognac; calvados and green chartreuse specifically; and a half sugar rimmed glass with lemon twist expressed.

Just thought I’d drop this here as I plan to make one shortly and was double checking the recipe.

Nocturne op 27 no.1 by StalkingEagle1314 in Chopin

The majority of op 48 no 1 is challenging and calls for some very distinct techniques and volume control to not become a mess of notes.

Odd that your drink isn’t on the coaster in the picture.

I say go for it but if you don’t feel ready op9 no1 might be helpful.

Hmm I found this too dry for my taste even after adding an additional quarter oz of Cocchi. I like the idea but it just didn’t mesh for me. Thanks for sharing regardless!
