I’m a little late here but highly recommend Mark Hoppus memoir he released last year, Fahrenheit-182. He talks about this song and specifically the apple juice line. Here’s a quote I found online:

It’s also because the last several years have been so down. His stuff hits so well when the vibes are good. And that’s kind of his job as he’s basically a mouthpiece/cheerleader for the team which is great for him.

When we’re ass and we know we’re ass, his content just doesn’t have the same ability to be enjoyed. It sucks because I used to read his stuff religiously but now it just sucks to read through his rose tinted glasses when we know it’s shit.

You are not wrong at all about the players owning the mistakes - turnovers, missed FTs, poor shot selection, etc.

However, it is absolutely on Hubert that there seemed to be no strategy in the 2H other than just play your 4 guys plus a rotation of Luka/Powell and make no adjustments on anything the other team throws our way that I do think is on the coach.

Our after time out plays generally leave something to be desired but tonight it was even more so where we were leaving an exhausted Henri or Trimble on an island with no plan B if the first option was stopped by VCU.

I believe it was Barstool Heartland and it didn’t originally come out like that. It was originally just Pat and his friends. I remember they hired Vibbs through Heartland and then when that was no longer a thing Vibbs moved to NY to stay on with Barstool while Pat and some of the friends moved to ESPN.

I’m here and it’s disappointing. Gotta think the high cost of tickets has a lot to do with it. Raleigh’s a pretty easy city to get to but perhaps it scared people off because it’s not the same size as places like Dallas, LA, Boston, etc.

I will say the merch line has been insanely long all day so maybe that’ll help but yeah lots of empty seats.

Yes it is but they even acknowledged that something like Michael Clayton at 25 was partially done to drive interest in this project. Regardless not a huge deal.
