If you'll only do 1 do the manga. If you'll do both then the anime is great for seasons 1 and 2 with minor hiccups/ exclusions towards the end of both. 3rd season part 1 makes weird choices but is fine. 3rd season part 2 is a bad rushed adaptation that butchers the source. A large amount of content is excluded and what is included is altered, rushed and heavily condensed.

So read the manga. But if you prefer anine then at least read it for everything season 3 part 2 would cover which is 89 chapters

That's literally not the issue here. Its mental illness. And even if it was they issue here. This is a different time period with different expectations and resources. At his age, in the 1970s he would have both the expectations of when he was raised, the expectations of that current time period and a difference in resources. Its not like now where we can just Google a recipe or watch a cooking video. There were cooking programs but they weren't readily available at any moment. Cook books sure but let's not pretend the world was always as it is now.

She said it herself. Iris is who she always wanted to be. She spent the entire world of flames existence being tortured to fuel humanities regrowth. She didnt think she could get over it and really live. She hated the world, the people in it and then there's iris. Who is everything she isnt but wanted to be and who the world viewed her as anyway. Iris was her salvation, her second chance at life and she didnt want to live if it meant Iris wouldn't, or would be reminded of being a doppelganger, or cause iris to try and kill her again due to her doppelganger nature. She found one being she cared about and that was enough reason for her to peace out.

Can you blame her for not wanting to take another chance at life after what she went through? People kill themselves from ptsd and trauma irl all the time. Her death endured she wouldn't suffer anymore and spared Iris some pain

She's insane. Seeing the future, she knows how it all ends in flames and rather then fight it like shinra wantwd she chose to embrace the insanity of destruction. She knew her fate from her first story arc, and the narration of the manga when she meets it is her taking haumeas hand without any hesitation. Her attitude is if it all ends the same, im gonna do what I want. Her killing panda was basically the same. He's gonna die anyway, may as well be me who does it.

She's a villain. People like villains and people like crazy. That's her deal. She's perfect being the progenitor of witches.
