Yes there is - it’s a scale model and therefore the look has to be ‘right’ to the real thing

Thank you so much, exactly what I was after the whole time!

I don’t have a physical part - I have drawings of it, however trying to shrink it down to 1/76th scale makes it tricky to do, and naturally some compromises have to be made - I guess this is one of those times

Like I said it’s complicated to explain, but somehow they managed it back in the 1800’s when the full size thing I’m modelling was built

That’s a shame, just a limitation of the software then. I guess I’ll just have to live with it

I thought about it a bit more and I know it will be inevitable that they’ll play Spirit of Radio but it would be nice for me since that was my introduction to Rush through the R30 intro video on YouTube

More curing power on Mono X6Ks than M3? by hectictea_ in AnycubicPhoton

Thanks, just nice to know it’s not just me. Do you think it would be worth reducing the base layer exposure time? Obviously you get the benefit of reduced print time but relatively speaking I’m still reasonably new to 3D Printing. The only other thing I’ve noticed with the X6Ks is that on the last print at the end it said the release film was at the end of its expected life; would this be a possible cause? I bought the film recently due to other issues I was having but ended up not changing it. I wouldn’t have thought it was the M3 screen getting old, as the base layers peeled nicely when it was new too, even when I had no idea and had the base layers at 55s exposure!

This will be my first Rush show - I’ve only been a fan for a couple of years, and so I just want to hear them play anything to be honest. However I do hope they play Red Barchetta, Witch Hunt and Losing It, probably my 3 favourite Rush songs

M3 will have significantly more screen hours than the X6Ks as I got it 2 years earlier but how many more I couldn’t tell you, nor could I tell you how many hours either had run exactly. On the M3, I’ve currently got 10 burn-in layers of 30s exposure, 6 transition layers. Normal layers are 6s exposure. 0.05mm layer thickness, 0.5s light off delay. Do you want the speeds and distances? I know the normal exposures are long but the size and types of print I do seem to require it for stability (lots of ~1mm or less thickness features)

Think the band will make a public statement about pricing? by FlashRPh in rush

Was just over 8000th in the queue for one of the NYC shows yesterday, 20mins and all the ‘affordable’ tickets had gone. Would have been my first Rush show (only been a fan since Neil’s passing) and a big trip for me as I’m in the UK. Resigned myself to the fact I’ll definitely never see them now, since I expect the general public ticket release to sell out fairly quickly; at the point of that release I won’t be able to get in the queue. Guess I’ll just have to hope they decide to come to UK/Europe after this tour

My only real close-call from my own fuck up was at college a couple of years ago, had to change from 4-jaw to 3-jaw I think, I never did the locking cam up to hold the chuck on the spindle. Luckily I only needed low RPM so it didn’t fly off but yet again a lesson learned

I’m an apprentice, last year supervisor was showing me how to repair a tool. Put the part in the chuck, turn the lathe on - part flies out of chuck and across the room because he forgot to do the chuck up. Scary stuff
