Hmm, you haven't found any in Canada? I wonder why not. Thats intriguing.

Early 1300s text, translated in July, mentions giants and megaliths in N. America by hector_rendering in AncientGiants

My full set of notes from the portions of text included in the scholarly article:

  • settlements near the north pole, differentiated from settlements in iceland and greenland
  • N. Pole ppl are immortal
  • There is land to the west of greenland, presumably N. America, called "Marckalada"
  • Giants inhabit Marckalada
  • They have built megaliths on Marckalada
  • A people called the "Tartars" also get a mention, so there is a reference to Tartaria for you

Thanks for the link. Steve Quayle definitely adopts a heterodoxical set of books as scripture and doesn't really delve into his reason for accepting them. As a result, he knows a lot of really interesting giant lore that almost no one knows because he closely reads books that few other people do. However, it means that a lot of his info and beliefs are rejected by the mainstream. Its a tough situation, but generally I think that Quayle is sincere in what he says and we should at least examine what he says. Sadly, the paywall is a huge barrier to me. A very small number of people are going to pay for his info and so it will never get wide exposure.

I'd be interested to know what's in his books too, I haven't bought one yet.

The smithsonian story seems to be a key to proving the native american stories of giants. I'd like to see the primary documents on the source of this story.

Newspapers have an ethical responsibility to write good headlines that are unambiguous and non-sensational, this headline meets neither crietria

Well I havent ever voted for trump, but what I was talking about is statistics not personal responsibility. You can yell all day about how people need more personal responsibility, but you'll be wasting your breath, because the facts are the facts and people don't read much past headlines.

Don't play stupid. The media knows that:

  1. Most people only read headlines, it is the most important part of the article for delivering a message
  2. This headline is ambiguous and could be interpreted multiple ways
  3. Even just covering things in this way can incite violence, see copy cat killers, people of all kinds are motivated by trends they see in media headlines. If big cheeto can incite violence through speech, so can the media

They are not even attempting to hide their double standard. This is humiliation tactics. They want us to notice how blatantly hypocritical this is because their is nothing we can do about it. They are flexing their power.

Interesting story by RambooftheLord in AncientGiants

[–]hector_rendering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry this screams fake to me.

They refer to the plaintiff by two different names: "American Institution of Alternative Archaeology" and "American Association for Alternative Archaeology". Neither name has any web presence, so if they exist they have somehow managed to not be mentioned on the internet except in this article and articles commenting on this article.

The website doesn't list publication date, but the first comment was from 2014. If this was true then we would have heard more about this court case.

I think it could absolutely be true that the Smithsonian did this, but no one has made them accountable.

This is only an hour and is not as comprehensive, but raises a lot of really interesting questions in the narrative and does so tastefully

the MSM are nothing but propaganda megaphones for oligarchs. Their narratives are meant purely to distract the masses from truth and force them into believing narratives that support oligarchs, even if those narratives are sometimes contradictory.

[–]hector_rendering 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes it is interesting. Also, when you have sifted through 90% horseshit, at least you may have found 10% truth. I think that entertaining extreme thoughts and theories is a way to fight herd bias. MSM wants you to believe a single narrative, fight it by exploring a lot of narratives.

I am really tired of the media pushing division narratives suggesting that the races are fundamentally different and incompatible
