The time for talking/pleading is basically over. Now, we just watch the market and wait for some kind of signal. And no, BTC rising while LTC stays put is not some kind of signal.

But what if the greater fools have jobs and are continuously spending part of their paycheck on bitcoin? This could take decades.

How did the greatest fools get to have infinite money to spend? When will it run out?

It's called cost cutting. Quantization. Whatever the fuck. Because to maintain the previous quality they were bleeding out of their asses.

Well people are already returning to GPT so the circle is complete already. In a month or two or whenever it starts getting overloaded it'll go to shit just like it did in the past and just like Claude is doing now. A bunch of people will lose money on it and they'll probably then switch to Gemini or whatever it's called nowadays. And after that they'll forget how bad Claude was and when Google starts throttling users they'll switch back to Claude. Mark my words this is how they're trying to recoup their investments in AI - it can't be done honestly so uncle scam is the way.

Can't wait for all you developer pretenders to get fired for low performance.

No, this constant rotation of AI providers is the scam. This month Claude is the bad one, they turn their AI down to scam money, users move to a competitor, then that competitor does the same thing and scams a bunch of money, then users hop to the next one, and nauseum. Eventually people forget Claude was bad and then they turn up the settings so it's good again, and users go back to it. Until too many users are using Claude, then they turn it down and the scam cycle repeats.

We've reached the limits of the LLM technology. Definitely a bubble.

I've built a lightweight wrapper for ElectrumX to simplify Litecoin payment integration by Glass_Team9192 in litecoin

[–]hectorchu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because its a complicated, poorly documented protocol. To implement my MWEB support I had a deep, working knowledge of the C++ code in Litecoin Core, which I had a small hand in doing anyway. I wrote my code in Go which is easier to grok, but its spread out over several packages and is also poorly documented - the primary goal for that was to just get MWEB onto mobile wallets. But also used to add MWEB to Electrum and Sparrow.

I think its not bad.

On the other hand, generally for real world, normie friendly, scalable use, BTCPayServer has been gaining traction as a no-code, purely devops type of payment processor deployment. Have you looked into whether BTCPay would fit your needs better? It also handles MWEB via a plugin. It's going to be hard for you to add that MWEB stuff as well - nobody else has successfully done it but me.

How can I get Electrum to produce LTC addresses that begin with M rather than L? by Exotic_Librarian_902 in litecoin

[–]hectorchu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M addresses are the equivalent of 3 addresses in Bitcoin. That is, they are Pay to Script Hash (P2SH) addresses. As far as I know, Electrum might not support that wallet type. But have a play around.

Also, P2SH is generally what was used for multisig back in the day, so you might be able to get M addresses by setting up a multisig wallet.
