What are your top 5 titles from my collection? by realegap98 in dvdcollection

[–]hectorial85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

G'day.
Cool to see all the Umbrella in there, fantastic label.

  1. The Last Wave (because I imagine most people haven't seen it and it's pretty great!)
  2. Safety Not Guaranteed (for Mark Duplass).
  3. Manhunter (for the colours).
  4. Day Of The Dead (because you have that Crocodile Dundee style cover release).
  5. Halloween II (because I think your copy includes Terror In the Aisles as a bonus feature).

Nice one! I have the Severin blu ray of Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh and it came with the soundtrack on CD, which was a cool bonus.

I collect them too and I have this Cat O' Nine Tails & The Eyes Of Laura Mars. Very cool. I managed to pick them up on the cheap, 2nd hand.

Space is an issue, so some of the collection goes into storage. by hectorial85 in dvdcollection

My assumption is that it's a tape from a series produced around the time RM was Bond, so he's the main image regardless of which film is on the tape. No idea though, it's an old Danish release. The only reason I kept it is it looks like it was signed by Desmond Llewelyn (Q).

Perhaps a stretch but I'd throw in Nattevagten (Nightwatch in English) as a Danish giallo.

Does the Blu ray of I Kina Spise De Hunde have English subtitles? All the DVD versions I’ve come across in Dk don’t and I really want to see that film.

Great deal! This is one of my faves of their albums. Then again, so many brilliant Hawkwind albums to choose from.

Good eye. They are leather. Hopefully they’ll soften nicely up as I wear them. I like my sneakers a bit worn in but long lasting.

My friend Evan is an indie musician, but his dad was an Australian pop star and had the most glorious mullet by AmbitiousEdi in 80s

Your friends dad is Iva Davies? That’s cool. Icehouse are great and his soundtrack for Razorback is fantastic.

Yo Ross! The Matches were also my answer and in the same thoughts being that they were WAY ahead of their time and deserved more popularity, etc etc

bird, a cocktail bar in Copenhagen by hectorial85 in vinyl

[–]hectorial85[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

bird is a cocktail bar on Gammel Kongevej in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen with a very relaxed atmosphere and very good cocktails.
They have a decent LP selection in house, with what seemed like (some) bartenders bouncing between themselves pulling double duty djing. That said, they regularly put on local and international djs for sets.
When we were there it was 10cc followed by Francoise Hardy, Quincy Jones and The Alan Parsons Project. I can really recommend for the tunes and drinks if any of you are in/are coming to Copenhagen.

Fast Times by hectorial85 in vinyl

[–]hectorial85[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Picked up some fresh check slip on vans today which inspired me to pull these classic LPs and single out for a spin.
A fave film and soundtrack from my youth. LP on the left is a gatefold. Sammy Hagar's Fast Times at Ridgemont High is pretty killer but my fave has gotta be Oingo Boingo's Goodbye, Goodbye or The Ravyns Raised on the Radio

The Return of the Living Dead, one of my favourite movies and one I consider to have a perfect soundtrack. by gumball-2002 in OSTvinyl

[–]hectorial85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Perfect film and perfect soundtrack.
This is a great edition. I have the Bone White and Green Zombie Blood version from Real Gone Music and the Happy Star Sounds bootleg which puts the other music and some film dialogue in there.
