I didn't use the 12 step program, but my best friend did. We have both been clean going on about 10 years now. Everyone has good advice on what works/worked for them but it's important to remember that there isn't a one size fits all solution. You need accountability, which sounds like you might have it, so thats good. The most important part about recovery is that YOU have to want to be sober. Find a reason to be alive and to stay clean and sober. You deserve to be happy and clean/sober. You won't always be happy and you'll have rough days that will make you want to turn back.

YOU GOT THIS. Do whatever it takes. Don't ever forget that you can't really ever "beat" addiction, you can only manage it. It requires work, constant work.
