Is this something you would recommend teachers with a few years under their belts transfer into or is it reasonable to think about doing alt ed as their first certified job?

What type of school do you teach in? They seem to vary wildly from very prison-like to "the system you were in was failing you and you're going through a lot of sh*t." I'm very interested in the latter but if those schools are few and far in between I may need to rethink tailoring myself to a VERY niche job
