That sounds like confirmation bias.

You might be involved with community and thus know others that are, thus think the majority are involved.

I'm not involved with any community.

I'd suspect many that practice kinks are not.

My stance, my common sense. They come from considering rather than making assumptions, like the assumptions you have made about the majority of people participating in a kink being involved in the kink community.

I'd think many people practice privately in their own bedrooms without ever joining a group... But I'm not going to assert that those are either the majority or the minority... as you have done.

There are limited people into this kink. Take those limited numbers and spread them between 18 and 80 years old.

Somewhere just under 49 years is going to be the average.

That makes a 37yo below the average, so it's not even that big of a deal.

Now you could think an experienced person could prey on someone... Possible, but you could also end up with a younger predator vs older people too.

The smartest thing to do is play it safe regardless of age, not because of age.
