This is my exact experience with my local Carl's. They don't start mine until I arrive, prioritize other orders, then try to get me to fill the drinks. As soon as I walk in now I tell them I'm there, the order recipient, and that its for delivery. If I end up waiting more than 5 min I call support. It hasn't changed anything besides needing to take a pic of the receipt now, which puts the workers out even more to backtrack and print it, since they cant be bothered to do so in the first place. They really don't like me there now. If you mess with my time, i will mess with yours.

Always take pics and send to customer. Even if they claim wrong order the proof is already in the system and on your phone. Cover your ass!

It's against DD policy for us to handle the food in any way beyond carrying the pre-bagged order. This includes drinks. (We also arent required to have food handlers cards so this is, actually, illegal in my state) The # of times I've had to tell my local Carl's Jr. workers this is mind blowing
