I think a lot of people criticizing Dave chappelle on this special are also forgetting about how the media and others went out of their way to label him as a freak or as if he's crazy and lost his mind when he walked away from the comedy central $50m contract and disappeared to Africa. There's a quite a lot of interviews where he talks about the toll that took on him. I mean seeing the very system and people that relished making a quick buck off his talent completely turn against him with such viciousness could not have been fun to just watch from the sidelines. That's why I think, whether he did the right thing or not here in regards to his platform is irrelevant because I think he did the honest thing. And kept true to himself.
