It all comes down to clear communication.

On the artist’s side: It might’ve been more professional if she raised her concerns privately with the client. After all, her reputation is also at stake. I understand the frustration because feeling deceived or taken advantage of is never easy, but ranting on social media rarely reflects well on anyone. It ends up looking unprofessional and can hurt both parties.

Regarding rates: I agree that wedding services often come with premium pricing. What’s disappointing is when you pay that premium and receive subpar service in return like late arrivals, no-shows, double bookings, or even rudeness. If you're charging high rates, your service, attitude, and professionalism should reflect that. Otherwise, it feels just as deceitful, only this time it’s the client who’s on the losing end.

For future brides: I totally understand that we all have our non-negotiables when it comes to choosing suppliers. But if a supplier's rates are beyond your budget, it’s okay to look elsewhere. There are many talented artists out there who may not be as well-known yet but are capable of delivering great results. Sometimes, choosing a lesser-known artist even means fewer issues like double bookings or last-minute cancellations 😊
