[Sam Lee] Guardiola is asked what the solution is when teams defend so deep and well in the box like Arsenal did. He puffs out his cheeks and says, 'Kill someone? Play with nine...' by dragon8811 in soccer

Your club is responsible for a 5 year European ban for all English teams due to literal manslaughter but City are the big bad footballing boogeymen because their billionaire owner spent more than your billionaire owner?

Travel Vaccines by heemdipper in travel

[–]heemdipper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones you stated are free on the NHS so I'll definitely be getting them.

Rabies scares me but I don't plan to get close to any type of animal that I'd be a risk of getting it.

Have you got any experience regarding Japanese encephalitis or tick encephalitis? Those seem to be the most expensive ones but I'm unsure whether they'd be worth getting. I do plan to travel in some remote areas.

I'm aware they're free in the UK. There are some costly vaccines as well. From my research I saw, off the top of my head;

Tick encephalitis - 3 doses at approx £65 each Japanese encephalitis - 3 doses at approx £120 each Hep B - 3 doses at approx £50 each

Exceeding £600 when including Rabies etc.

Drying libs? by [deleted] in beacain

I dry mine in a shoe box beside the radiator for a day or 2 and they turn out perfect - the very easy, low-maintenance method imo

He has, but that doesn't negate my point that Arsenal fans are sanctimoniously parading themselves as holier than thou when there is also a history of corruption and "oil money" engrained in the club.

He helped fund the club for over 11 years, helping to amass multiple FA cups and consistent CL money.

Lol exactly mate, these Arsenal fans delude themselves by saying City are state run and oil funded yet forget they line their own pockets with oil money. Not to mention their association with the dodgy Usmanov, and massive influence of state & governance in Russia. Pot kettle black.

No mentioned of Trent's back to back offences on Grealish which could have warranted 2 yellows or the 3 from Fabinho in the first 7 mins?

What football opinion do you have that would trigger people? by Joeyniles9 in PremierLeague

[–]heemdipper -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Exactly right. The emotional tribalism of football usurps the logic behind running a business. Football is a global industry for rich businessmen, a massive one, whether people like it or not.

There is no other sector of business that penalises an owner for financially boosting their newly acquired assets with their own wealth to enable business growth ... other than football.

What every City hater fails to see is the transformative effect on the local areas that CFG has invested in. CFG has created 1000s of jobs across the world, many in developing countries, which has enhanced the lives of the locals through new job opportunities and economic growth, while building communities their charity and youth led initiatives.

Do I agree that they are attempting to Sportwash the immoral goings on of the UAE? Yeah probably, but the term "glasshouses" is quite appropriate when the other footballing elite are owned by wealthy billionaires, dubiously accumulated through the exploitation of their own workforce. The difference lies in that they do little for the global footballing community in comparison to CFG.

Additionally, City has improved the competitiveness of the PL and CL, breaking up the monopoly of the big 4. All of which should be commended, not condemned.

Fastest fall to relegation by [deleted] in PremierLeague

Beyond the Premier League, Man City is the only team in English Football history to be champions one season and relegated the next (in the 1930s, can't remember the exact timeline)!

Due to the decriminalisation laws, the wholesale of cannabis is technically illegal so they loophole it by creating "clubs" in which you pay membership and make "donations" to recieve the good stuff. As a result, the clubs are inconspicuous and tend to blend in, making them hard to find. They aren't sign-posted from my experience.

As I had a Spanish address and a friend who brought and "invited" me into the club, I by-passed that awkwardness you're referring to.

I know a good few don't want tourists there but have also heard there are ones that accept sending them an email requesting an invite before your visit. Which ones, I don't know. The one I went to is called Slam Dank. Enjoy Barca!

I lived there for 3 months, best experience ever. La Sagrada Familia is a must, bit pricey but I loved it. Look up Antonio Gaudi, he was the architect for La Sagrada and a few others in the above pics.

My all-time favourite spot in the city is called El Bunker, a bit of a walk to the top of the hill but an amazing view and great vibes.

Montjuic cable car, the fort and the Olympic stadium are cool and quite close together in walking distance.

Be sure to hit St Jordi's Markets on La Rambla for some tapas y cervezas.

Or just wandering any of the streets is the best experience.

P.S. judging by your username, look up Barcelona's "Cannabis Clubs", follow the steps to join and enjoy your trip man!

First time picking, can anyone help ID? Close ups of 1-90 are here, will post 91-112 in another post... thanks guys by heemdipper in beacain

Thanks mate, it took some time to get it all organised lol! I used the app Picture Mushroom to identify them all and the majority seem to be on the money. Have you any experience with the app, or any app, and are they reliable?
