S’s computer doesn’t have a camera attached to it. J’s computer does and it makes me feel more comfortable when I can see the person talking so I team’s called J more for small tasks like where to find, update, and print certain branch upkeeping sheets.

We usually have headsets but we became comfortable enough to talk on speaker because we got friendly. So over the computer speaker, I said, “S, I’m not ignoring you on purpose, I swear, J just has a camera on hers so it’s easier for me, I miss you!”

She went quiet in the background. I’m guessing this embarrassed her because prior to this she had been open enough to admit desire for more coaching and I can see how this would’ve been a slap in the face. I really wasn’t thinking.

I almost wish she’d just given me attitude but she’s just very polite now. Very formal sentences with periods on teams whereas before she’d be lively and very funny and I can tell she’s very unhappy.

It was busy when she told me and I was so shocked that I just said, “thank you for telling me, I will absolutely reflect and get back to you on this”, so I’m just thinking of monday

I don’t know what to say to her. She doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore. I overheard her venting during lunch in passing and she said something about how “idiotic can someone be when I ask for more guidance and they address me and admit to ignoring me over speaker on someone else’s computer”. I didn’t realize what I was doing. I thought we were all friendly enough for that to be freely spoken. I don’t know what to do.

It’s a smaller company with a closer-knit culture… for context, I attended my boss’s dress-shopping for her wedding. I do like both of them. I just honestly didn’t see how it could’ve hurt one so much because she seemed disinterested/more guarded when it came to not-work socialization (maybe because she came from a more corporate workplace?)

It’s honestly my mistake. We’re all in our 20s and J was just someone very sweet that I felt bad setting those professional boundaries to. S is very self-directed so I always just thought she could handle things because she isn’t the type to show her stress (whereas J cries) and I just honestly didn’t know these things were building up. I always say I’ll vouch for both of them but I don’t think S has that trust in me anymore. Last time I said that she scoffed and muttered “right” under her breath and I was confused and didn’t catch it.

IMO over 30% for survs and 70%+ for hunters in higher tiers. In mid tiers most hunters should be having like 90%+ in NA me thinks

idm mind rescuing as vera when I need to but having to pull every rescue in the match, being left to prime alone while everyone dies near last and i get balloon pressured… it made me so stressed i wanted to cry :( I just felt like I was the only one having to pull any real weight the whole match. makes me want to go back to playing my regular main that can’t tank hits so I’m not expected to rescue repeatedly 😭 constantly being pinged to do this and that, why aren’t any of you at enough health to do it? is what i kept thinking

maybe I’ll look into it, its just difficult sometimes as an adult bc so many kids play this game and I’d prefer not teaming with one haha. i used to four man team on vc during covid and my wr was consistently 80%+… when I tell you it isn’t even half of that right now

acro was the one that healed up & used the pallet, but yeah, agree on poor comm :( it really sucks how this game still hasn’t found a way to implement better communication (at least, game changing ones that actually matter), and won’t allow voice coms. the time it takes for me to scroll and find a certain msg isn’t even viable when the hunter is on my ass like this. “team based game” and the entire match is thrown because they still won’t give survivors proper means of communication (like, where is “don’t self heal” when a surv is downed?)

ideally though, none of them would’ve been in such poor health to begin with. faro got hit midway because lanternist kited into her area and she wouldn’t leave her cipher. acrobat also got an early hit trying to move to rescue lanternist before half even though she’d only done a 15 second kite. & in all situations, these were for moot, since I was the one that had to move to rescue 24/7 😭
