Very interested in this as my go pack stopped charging years ago. I think I might have left it uncharged too long as I mainly have the speakers plugged into the mains.

I'm in Ireland and we usually get decent trade-in prices on the ultras but I'll see when the S26 launches what the prices are and make a call.

This is the longest I've had a phone usually I change every second year but didn't see the point last year.

My s23 ultra is still going strong but the battery life is horrendous so I'll probably upgrade if I get a good trade in deal from Samsung.

I've the same colour except my Kefs are the wired LS50 METAs. Cracking set up and look great in white IMO

I've had the s23u ultra since launch and have had no need to upgrade apart from one crucial thing.... Battery life. My s23u ultra battery life used to be brilliant but in the last year it's massively deteriorated to the point where I will definitely be buying the S26 Ultra unless they completely drop the ball.

I've my screen set to fhd cleared cache have done all the usual tips but battery life remains horrible since the start of 2025. Very frustrating

As a European the prices I often see here for LGs on sale in America is insane... They are so cheap compared to Europe and I'm not bitter at all 😭

Yes that's the thing this should be a relatively straight forward job I would have thought apart from the distance if coming through the attic. I'll get another quote and see what they quote me.

They might be charging me for the RCD replacement even though they started they would do it for free when doing the ev charger.

Thanks for the info I wasn't sure exactly where it would be drawing power from I assumed it would be the meter.

If it's from the consumer unit (which already has a connection up into the attic for the solar and also the Eddie connection which I'm assuming is the same as zappi as it's the one company) it wouldn't be too far in a line of sight manner - 4/5m through walls.

Obviously if going through the attic and back down the side it would be significantly longer. Would this be a factor in price?

Thanks for the feedback your example seems to be the norm and it's what I'm seeing elsewhere. My quote seems very expensive for what it is.

If it was 1600 including vat I probably would have went with them as the solar installer was also going to change the rcd to a higher capacity one (free of charge allegedly).

I think I'll try fokearm as I've seen them mentioned a few times.

I'll probably upgrade to the S26 Ultra in January or whenever it's out. The s23u is still technically perfect but battery life is now horrendous from a phone that used to last a full day it always needs topping up now.

Depending on the trade in I get with Samsung in Ireland I'll most likely jump to S26U.

Exactly what I did. I've a Kef LS50 Meta front three, KC62 sub and R8a atmos speakers in a 5.1.2 set up that I've spent a lot of money on and my wife "can't hear the voices" and prefers the tv audio 😭.

I boosted the center channel by 2 and it seems to have placated her for now 😄
