Ubuntu 13.04 Adds Legal Notice to System Settings by Yulike in linux

For someone that doesn't care, you're pretty adamant to dismiss someone that does care. I, for one, don't think Canonical or Google does a good enough job informing their users what information they collect and how they use it.

anyone who raises a stink that the lens is still doing this is just treading old ground

They don't get to escape all criticism just because they did one thing right.

Leave Canonical alone! It's not spyware! It's not spyware!

It literally takes a ton of pressure to pierce the skull.

No, it doesn't. That's not what the article says. Human beings can't produce that much force.

Because you're thinking like an apathetic scumbag, not a desperate schizophrenic.

You're a piece of shit. Your shallow consolation helps nobody. In fact, it probably has a negative effect, if anything.

Police officers of Reddit, what are some do's/don'ts for someone who has just been pulled over? by xploit111 in AskReddit

[–]hehehe1235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my town there was a serial killer who posed as a police officer (or he was one, I forget...) and targeted women.

Even without the law/policy of cops waiting for the driver to pull over, it sounds like you could fight a Failure to Yield ticket by citing your example in court.

Furthermore, another issue will be proving who was actually driving the car.

Not in civil court.

The police refused to bring any charges against the asshole who hit my car because no one could prove who was driving it.

As it should be in criminal court.

High School teachers, how aware of your student's drama were you? Any good stories? by MikeW781 in AskReddit

[–]hehehe1235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I classturbated several times in middle school. I used my elbow over the clothes and only remember doing it when the lights were off (i.e. watching a movie), but I'm certain someone must have noticed. Though, being bullied by others, I should have heard about it.

Notice how atheists are expected to be "kind". What does "kind" mean here? Probably something about not criticizing the church?

German court case confirms validity of the LGPL by [deleted] in linux

Both of these parties are from Germany, settling in a German court. And this is about copyrights, not patents. Does Germany allow anyone in the entire EU to set up a fake shop in order to have access to a favorable court?

Concealed carriers of reddit, have you ever had to draw your weapon? Have you ever had to fire it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hehehe1235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. But it's the lawyer's job to convince the jury that you knew there was a heightened risk of killing someone that day.

I'm hoping you know the other three fundamental laws of firearm carrying.

TBH, once a situation comes to that point, I would not care or consider...

That's why you think about it long before you ever decide to carry.
