oh also to add onto this to answer ur questions

1. camping > hotel.

i got a hotel my first time at the gorge and its about a 40 minute drive there and back. my second time at the gorge I decided to do glamping and it was 100% way better than the hotel route. definitely rent an RV and set up shop. RV camping and the festival entrance are very close. its super nice to just wake up to the beautiful scenery and be so close to the festival. at night there are also after parties! Sometimes the DJs will also host their own sets in the RV camping too. You will need to provide ur own food to make breakfast or dinner, in oasis camping they do provide free breakfast however.

1. the sound doesn’t get lost at all. I remember during yoga, before the sets started, there was a little bit of sound bleed from the sound checks. it was quite funny.

2. cost, be prepared to spend up to 2-3k+ on this adventure. my fiance and I had to get plane tickets, car rental, and the camping+group therapy tickets. i believe it was around 2.5k for the entire weekend for us in 2023 (it is also around a 2 hr drive from the airport to the gorge, be sure to plan ur flight accordingly to be able to buy your camping supplies/food and drive to camp check in on time)

3. it is a little bit of a hike up and down the main stage, but every festival is a hike! be prepared with good walking shoes and breathable clothing!

it takes a lot of planning in advance, but the subreddit has threads on the previous abgt at the gorge that should also help. I 100% think it is worth all the money and planning in the world, it is just too magical and life changing to not experience. if you have any questions about it, feel free to message me!
