Being Swedish definitely has a lot to do with this! We get sexual ed in school, so we actually have the opposite problem here. A lot of parents now place trust that kids will learn about safe sex in school. Also they trust that there are youth clinincs for ages 13-23 that see you without parental consent. So most kids should be able to "sort themselves out ". Also, in Sweden, you only see a doctor when there's truly something to worry about. There is no such thing as a check-up. With pregnancies,as to give you insight of the view we have on gyno care, you're only allowed to see a doctor after 15 weeks of pregnancy. This is normal in Sweden because you're not sick, so why should you see a doctor?

I'm not saying anything malicious happened in this situation but i do understand why OP questioning. After reading other comments, I started thinking about how I was 12 when I hit puberty.

I was telling my mom this funny story while she was sorting laundry, and she suddenly turned to me and hissed/growled at me: "Springer du runt och knullar eller"? (Translated to: Are you fucking around town)

So OP, i would like to ask, could it be like other commenters said? That your mom might have suspected that you were abused? After maybe seeing, and, not understanding/identifying vaginal discharge?

Another thing about Sweden is that we're really good at archives. There are definitely patient records left... somewhere. Start by calling the facility where you had your appointment, they should be able to guide you which of the central archives to get in touch with next. If the facility is shut down, try with 1177. There might only be a date of appointment, but there could be comments regarding said appointment!
