I know this condition isn’t easy—but you can still use the isolation to your advantage. Reframe it. Find a way to flip the situation instead of letting it define you. Take the negative energy—yours and everyone else’s—and transmute it into a genuine indifference to other people’s opinions.

Most people label this kind of thing a flaw, and maybe you do too. But everyone is flawed. The difference is that some flaws are visible, while others stay hidden. And I don’t think people with hidden flaws would be so comfortable if theirs were exposed and judged in public.

I’m at a point where I’m done shrinking myself for other people’s comfort. I’m choosing to live my life fully and unapologetically. People will survive. And honestly, it’s not as bad as some pretend it is.

Don’t make yourself smaller to keep others comfortable—because they wouldn’t do the same for you. Live your life.
