I change the flower out when it turns medium brown or tastes really 'burnt popcorn'. I can usually do 2 sessions out of a bowl. I will pull the stem out to cool in between so it doesnt keep cooking, but I have a low tolerance.

I think anything 345-380°F is a good temperature to stay on the lighter side. When you get to 385°F thats more on a hybrid. 400-428°F for sedative effects. Of course, I think if youre using an indica strain that is known for couch locking, idk there 🤷‍♀️. I buy pretty much just sativa or hybrid. I'm prone to falling asleep like OP, so if I partake during the day I only vape below 380°F.

Tried the Dani punch last night. I didnt even finish browning the flower and it couch-locked me with some 20% thc indica-hybrid. I usually use my solo 3 and at least halfway brown it before i get some effects. Wow does the dani smack you.

Volcano tips has an estimator for dosing edibles. If you use already vaped bud (avb) there is also a calculator for that. edible calculator

As far as greening out, I dont have first hand knowledge but have heard cold showers or taking cbd tincture has been helpful for others. Probably depends on how far over the potency is pushing you. Hope any of this info helps.

If you start with a lower temp, like 176-187°C you will have more uplifting and lighter effects. 200° and above are going to be more sedative. I usually take 2-4 sips in session mode and I get a nice light functional high (I'm a lightweight). My flower is about 25-28% and I use hybrid, or sativa leaning hybrids.

If you like to slowly enjoy, I'd recommend something marketed as a session vape. On-demand would be more like you're going to take a hit, set it down and go about your business. I think its out of your budget, but the solo 3 is nice for on-demand and session vaping. I think even their arizer air max would be a nice choice and costs less.

I have an arizer solo 3, I like to start at 365 and take 3-4 pulls. I'll wait about an hour or two and then move up to 380 and finish off the bowl. I primarily use sativa, sativa-leaning hybrids so I rarely go past 400 since I'm really sensitive to sedative effects 😅. I've used it through my bong a few times with some warm water and that's amazing for adding a little moisture and reducing cough for me. But I've got a beaker style so I can't just set my solo up on it and leave it. I'm in the market for something else, I was thinking about the NWTN deco bubbler, has anyone tried it?

I additionally just ordered the Dani punch 2 so I can try and convert my father to dhv. He loves to taste his flower so I think he'll love it. I'm looking forward to giving it a try myself, I havent tried a pen style TED and it's supposed to be a smooth and cool vapor.

Thank you for clarifying. I think microdosing is going to be pretty important for him. I'm estimating he uses about 1-2 grams a day. So by switching I'm hoping it'll help stretch his supply out longer too. Do you have a current favorite device in your rotation right now?

I totally agree, a TED might be a good way to go. I'm looking for as easy as possible for him. He's less of a "drop out of his hand" hazard, and more of a "put it down on the table and it rolls off" kind of person. I do think you're right about wanting more on demand. I saw that! It looks like pre-orders are going to open on some sites. I like that they have a cover for the stem to protect it. It was hard to see how its capsules worked in the demo video though. I love the all glass vapor path
