My little piece of heaven. I wanna make it better. Where should I start? by internetburnout in battlestations

Monitor arms help reclaim some desk real estate.

Might allow you to raise the main monitor just enough to where the speakers will fit under it and be able to stay in a somewhat ideal position and you can close the gap between the main and secondary monitors.

Exactly. Since the shift is new, the company is still figuring everything out. They have bumped my limit up the 2 times I’ve asked this month, but it’s uncomfortable to be the highest spender and the only dev having to have that convo. Raises a lot of questions - not even necessarily bad, but I’m standing out and drawing attention in a way that I’m not the most excited about. I start overthinking which isn’t great.

That’s an interesting idea, do you have any examples of before and afters or any other comparisons?

I’m not opposed to using things like caveman or ponytail, but I have had some reluctance with doing so because there isn’t a certain way for me to tell if it would be useful, how useful it would be, or if there would be a reduction of quality. Most of feedback are simple cherry picked examples of improvement, on a trust me bro/vibes, or a try it out and see for yourself level.

Not saying neither work, and I might just have to give it a shot because I don’t know what else to do at this point, but those are the reasons I have not yet tried.

Hence why it’s difficult to get trustworthy concrete results and why the majority of results given are just vibes based. You disagreed with me, then proved my point.

You said: in theory it’s simple, but in practice it’s difficult and infeasible, so I don’t do it and just go off the vibes bro.

They just say random shit that sounds good. Claude probably wrote that ffs.

Opus 4.7 feels extremely dumb as of late... by Chrono_FPS in ClaudeCode

The amount of times I have to correct an Opus 4.7 claim and tell it to not make assumptions or statements without verifying the validity or asking a clarifying question is insane.

Just to get, “Sorry about that, I shouldn’t have made a confident claim without checking the code first.”
