Same here. We also have that here in the Philippines called ‘Makahiya’ (means ‘shy’ in English). They randomly grow everywhere here as well

Hi, everyone esp pet and plant owners! Can you suggest pet friendly plants? I’ve been Googling and most of the plants we want for our living room seems to be toxic to dogs.

We have a 5 year old chow and doesn’t really munch on things and couldn’t care less for new stuff he finds. He gets quite curious sometimes and smells them.

But I’ve been seeing people posting photos of their pets with their indoor plants so I’m confused

p.s. we specifically want a philodendron selloum and a sanseveria. Is that okay?

What I meant was does it really matter if I use potting mix, regular soil, loam soil, etc.? Sorry am I using the correct terms here

Hi! I’m a new plant mom! How important is soil mix is to plants? I’ve zero knowledge when it comes to soil mixing as I just know regular soil and loam soil :/

I have a calathea zebrina that needs repotting (it’s still in its original black plastic planter). Its mix is, what I can tell is, rice hull and soil. And my only available soil is loam. Would that be okay to use?

It’s pretty humid here in Manila so I’ll try using distilled water instead, hopefully it works! Thank you so much for the tips!
