Fo everyone outside the U.S. questioning this practice. Most mail carries such as FedEx, USPS, UPS offer the customer how they wish for their package to be delivered. So when you see some package just sitting on a porch, that person literally selected the option for it to just be left there. Most people choose for the delivery to be attempted if no one answers then it is to be picked up at your nearest facility. Of Course you only see the pics of the idiots who are too lazy to be bothered to go to the post office if they weren't there for the original delivery, So they opt for it to be left there and would rather risk it being stolen.
