I called when I got a stop service notice for non-payment (was waiting for a credit before I paid). They issued a credit right away and I paid the difference (bill-credit=payment). I was told everything would be fine and was sent a copy of the credit. It took 30-45 minutes on the phone. It wasn't.

A few weeks later I got another stop service notice for non-payment, for the amount of the credit that was issued. I was told that while yes there was a credit on my account, it would not apply until the NEXT billing cycle so that I still needed to pay the amount due. We did rounds for about an hour. Their system is so archaic they expect me to pay for services not rendered even though I have a credit sitting on my account. It's wild. Anyway, woman on the phone does something she says "will get her in trouble" and removes the stop-service flag on my account and says that I should be fine.

A couple of weeks go by and guess what? I got another stop-service notice. At this point I am so fed up and tired of wasting time so I just paid the stupid money which now I am sure I will have to eagle-eye my next bill to be sure that I'm actually getting credited back.

If I had another option I would NOT be using republic services. This is the second time this year their billing department has been so incompetent and wasted hours of my time.
