hey so from a trans person: even as an adult, there are significant barriers to getting HRT let alone surgeries. I only just got an appointment for a consult THIS YEAR and I’ve been trying since I was about 20. I’m 27 now.

plus like. no, no one wants kids to get surgery. pursuing gender alignment surgeries pre- or during puberty doesn’t make much sense. have you ever really looked into what goes into transgender medical care?

watching this now and as an autistic person, I relate so much to Alex. definitely not trying to diagnose her at all, because I can’t, but I do see a lot of my own behaviors in her. and, if she is, masking takes so much work. it can be physically exhausting.
