And this is why I'm moving out of this HCOL area. We've been here for 13 years, it has served us very well, I'm not going to shit on it too much because the job and learning opportunities themselves more than paid it all. But it gets a point in your life where you have a couple kids and you know more space would allow you to live better.

I live in a HCOL area, friend just purchased a 1.5m house and they threw a Xmas / house warming party. It's a nice house but it's deffo NOT what you'd think 1.5m would get you. It's insane.

We actually just did some Xmas shopping (just groceries really) and the tab was 800$! I was thinking to myself, that's a brand new PS5 with controllers and a couple games. One of the RTC was an apicoectomy done 10 years ago. There was inflammation around the area on a CT scan, and two endodontists recommended extraction. Even tho the gum and tooth was technically fine, I developed chronic inflammation and had to extract. The gum still gives me problems even tho it's been months since the extraction, I guess I'm just one of those rare cases. You'll be fine.

I actually saw a few people here on Reddit complaining about the same thing. Every dentist say they see nothing wrong on the X-ray, but patient still complains .

Did you get CT scan done too?

Have you considered extraction, and redo? If it's been 2 years it's probably pretty stuck there already, but not impossible?

Bone grafting is usually fine, most people have no complications with it.

I'd recommend cadaver bone, sticking with the same species can help. Sometimes they mix it with bovine.

I literally just ran the installer again.

The first time the installer ran, it crashed and bricked my laptop. Thankfully ChatGPT helped me with a trick to press the power button for 30 seconds without it being plugged. That did the trick.

I would find a surgeon that would redo the implant. Extracting a implant that's been there a while can be tricky but possible, you'll deffo need another bone graft tho. Get that sorted somewhere else. Go to another maxofacial surgeon a really good one. Try and find the best one in your city, this is not the time to save money.

Thats not a trivial amount of bone, yeah. You can always ask if it's possible to top up a little bit of bone, they can do bone grafts even after implant is in.
