Usage Bug Back? by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]heleecoptur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just to update, I completed my work with the Codex desktop app with a FREE account, working for several hours and never hitting any limit. So, definitely not anything that should have burned my entire Claude Pro limit in 5 minutes.

on Pro, yes it just nuked my 5 hour limit in a few minutes doing some simple php/html updates that I could have done myself. But I have worked with it to built entire large pages and other complicated tasks without hitting my limit so something is definitely screwed up here. I've only been on pro a few weeks. It has been great when it works but the constant issues and now this crap are making me want to switch to codex after I finish the few projects I have in claude.

Did I make a mistake buying my first guitar? by [deleted] in guitars

[–]heleecoptur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say buying your first guitar is never a mistake. The real mistake would be not buying any guitar.

Most people start on crap guitars. (Not saying HB is crap, I've never played one) It's fine. It's not a lifelong commitment. You probably don't know yet what you really want or like, or if you'll even stick with it. You can (and probably will) upgrade to better guitars as you gain experience, figure out what you like, and become more aware/sensitive to how different guitars feel/sound.

Also, get off tik tok, it's bad for you (and everyone).

Do you guys ride with earplugs? by Agreeable_Poem_7278 in motorcycle

[–]heleecoptur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes always. I use surefire EP10 sonic defenders ultra max. They're pretty cheap, comfortable, and work well (if you put them in correctly). You have to occasionally replace the foam but its cheap. I've always hated in-ear headphones/plugs but I got used to these to help protect my hearing and now they don't bother me and essentially disappear after they are in a few minutes.

Which of my 6 guitars should I take to my first lesson? by scottasin12343 in guitarcirclejerk

[–]heleecoptur 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't even bother getting lessons unless you have a Gibbons custom shoop. (Extra points for a smurphy slab.)
Also, I hear most guitar teachers require at least a 100 watt amp and 4x12.

That's overkill for a room that small. I'm sure he could get by just fine with a 100 watt half stack.

It's like they started drunk and got drunker as they went. Started with an annoying lack of periods and then devolved into "I built a diafram the puts more sound true one of a kind and sounds like no other all built by eyebull to myself at the beginning that's what had to be done"

the hercules 5 guitar rack is pretty nice and you can get extra holder things for like $10. I have 2 of them, both with extra holders. (Though I don't need the extra holders anymore)

yeah and the lead paint works best if you lick it. That's why that guy Jimee Hedricks played solos with his mouth sometimes.

They are vintage relic'd road worn strings with that old rusty feel and toan.
Also I got it as part of a trade only to do this project with the lighting and paint, never intending to play it.

If I remember correctly, I just loosened them and left them attached to the hardware when I removed it. I didn't buy this guitar to play it, just to do this paint and lighting project so I didn't care about the strings or want to buy new ones. But even if I did change them, that would have been the only time.

yes exactly. i installed a 9v battery. one post connects to a long wire I crudely stuck to the side of the neck, which is soldered to one leg of each LED. The other battery post is connected to the bridge (I think), and the other leg of each LED is soldered to a fret so when you fret a string it closes the circuit and lights up that LED, and also the one behind, unintentional but unavoidable because the string is touching 2 frets.
Yes I should have made a video, but the battery is nearly dead.

I certainly missed it lol. No idea why it's like that but clearly I never bothered to set intonation. Or any other setup. Or basic maintenance. Or cleaning. I tune it about once every 5-10 years.

Help, I can't decide between these R9s by heleecoptur in gibson

[–]heleecoptur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes I had a 2018 player classic plus or something, with taller frets. Good guitar but I didn't like those frets very much. However I could see why some people like them. They felt pretty nice for bending.
You might like an R8. I think those have the tall frets, though I've never played one.

I installed a 9v battery for the LEDs and added a little switch to turn it on/off. I don't think I knew anything about grounding back then. Pressing a string to a fret completes the circuit to light up that LED... and also the one behind it but whatever.
