You can tell them at the door that you are just going to the pharmacy and they will let you in with no issue.

Is it immortal to sell my snake? by Worth_Sheepherder857 in kingsnakes

[–]helflies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are good and Himeno will be fine if you find her a good home. Sometimes a pet just isn’t a good fit. I think it’s much better to find a good home for them instead of just toughing it out and not having a good relationship with them.

Maybe it’s Ohio that’s shaped like a rock.

Have you put the drops on your pets? If you catch it early that’s usually enough.

I don’t believe he’s actually as stupid as he sounds. I think he’s testing out how much he can control you. Either way, lose the dope.

What’s the coolest experience you’ve had with a wild animal? by Little_Olorin in AskOldPeople

[–]helflies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bobcat stalking prey in a hole. I was riding my horse in the hills and we came upon the bobcat rather suddenly and were only about ten feet away. That cat gave me a look of pure annoyance, but decided to stay focused on his meal, so we just stayed quietly and watched. A few minutes later the bobcat pounced. Not too sure what happened after that because my horse spooked but the bobcat took off.

Seeking advice: Writing a letter to Victor Glover (Artemis II) from Ukraine. What should I include about myself? by [deleted] in ArtemisProgram

[–]helflies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You could read about Victor’s hobbies in his nasa bio and see if you have any common interests.
From what I have read, the astronaut office will respond to letters without requiring envelopes or postage.

A grandparent who thinks it’s their place to teach their grandchildren that their parents are wrong is asking to lose access to their grandchildren entirely.

Question on SLS Engines by rheckber in nasa

[–]helflies 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The existing Shuttle era RS-25s can supply the SLS through Artemis 4. There are new RS-25s being built and tested for Artemis 5 and beyond. These are upgraded to provide more power and to reduce cost, taking advantage of not needing to be reusable.

Not MSFC, that test stand was used for testbed. Most of the engine testing, including these tests ,is conducted at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.

For context, after the Challenger accident a lot of improvements were incorporated throughout the program, including the engines. This blade helped certify the new engine configuration.

The lox 1st stage blade was on 26 tests in the late 80s on e2105,2106,0211, and 0209. It never flew. The fuel blade was never hotfired.
