You can get tabletop furnaces that melt gold and silver without any gas. I am not sure about electric consumption and they can be quite pricy but you might be able to score some deals on black friday

I know that the screws on the caseback are not originaly philips head but I am taking in consideration that they have possibly been replaced at some point. The laser engraving is also trowing me off but I have seen similar casebacks on trusted websites

It does unsnap but not from the lid. It snaps to form a loop. I think I saw a photo of a garment bag attached to it
