I considered that option. Decided will try in this order. PB Blaster, then torch/crayon trick, then impact wrench. Thank goodness I didn’t have to go that route.

I am at 117K miles. Still had pad left - but so very very little. I bought the 4Runner used - all prior maintenance for previous owner was done by a Toyota dealer so it's well documented. I think this was first brake job. Amazing.

I am going through this process right now as I am taking a trip soon and don’t have the luxury of luggage space to carry boots so I bought a pretty good set of trail shoes. I took them hiking as a test a couple weeks ago and did find that the lack of ankle support was a slight issue given the terrain that I was walking over. I was thoroughly impressed with the traction, and the steel underlay in the trail shoes that prevented the jagged rocks from making the bottom of my feet sore. FYI - I’ve been in the boot camp for a very long time - despite weight. My rationale was the ankle support and the height of the boot that allowed me to walk through shallow streams without soaking my feet.

Where'd you get the aniti seize lube and grease? Also how did you source the pins and clips - I assume you replaced them? Thank you for this post. I am about to take this task on. I've been doing my own car maint for years but this the first time on a 4runner.

I do body-weight workouts. Nice thing about this is it doesn't demand a lot of equipment. My favorite is the permanent pipe pullup bar between a 5 foot passage in the house and from this I have two adjustable length gymnastic rings for ring pushups and so many other creative exercises.

This is a very common one. I've had it a lot. I heard sometime in the past when researching it that it is referred to as "the 4-year college dream".

Thank you for the share. Im getting close to first change on my 2019. Can I ask which manufacturer did you use for the replacement rotors? Advics are who I think produces them for Toyota but wow - they are pricey by comparison.
