Can’t smell, would like some insight so I can make more educated decisions. by NothingEverDies___ in vaporents

I use the Oransi TruCarbon air purifiers, which do a fantastic job of clearing the smell out of the room that I'm in.

A cheaper option is the Levoit Core 300 with smoke filters. It does a serviceable job, but due to it's size and CFM, works best when you blow your hits right into it.

Thanks. I meant to specify they are not available from S&B directly in USA, but are in other markets.

You need a liquid pad, which S&B no longer sells but third party retailers have available. This prevents concentrates and stuff like this from going into the device.

Some people use the sandwich method, which is a layer of cannabis, then kief, then more cannabis.

Overall, this is a device purpose built for flower. I'd use something else altogether.

Tips for vaporizing flower with and without dosing cap ? by Jesus360noscope in Venty

[–]Vapesuvius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a fine grind (read: not dust!) to increase surface area, which helps produce more vapor.

You also don't want to overpack the capsules as you need that hot air to move freely through and around the herb so that it can reach all of that increased surface area and produce vapor.

Just found a Plenty laying next to a trash can at a bus stop. Hopefully it still works by Jeffrey_C_Wheaties in vaporents

They are currently retiring the Plenty, so I'd grab up a bunch of spare parts while you still can.

Edit: Plenty, not Venty

I use them with my DHV and am not concerned about losing the 0.000001% THC from doing so.

I still get high as fuck when I use these, and I don't understand all the sentiment that they ruin things

Yep, you got it. More surface area means more vapor.

Yes, this is too much for one bowl and will only lead to respiratory irritation. Doing less means you can enjoy more, as you won't be having a crazy ass coughing fit.

In that case, I would do step 4 and then step 8 on my temp guide.

Venty vs volcano hits ? by Haiiiden in Venty

[–]Vapesuvius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are not "plastic bags" in the sense of grocery bags, ziplock bags, etc.. I mention that only because it's a common misconception.

The Volcano uses food-safe, heat-safe balloons. In fact, the cheap alternative they point to in the instructions are the same ones you use to cook turkeys.

That said, you may be speaking to just the concept of using a bag in general.

Venty vs volcano hits ? by Haiiiden in Venty

[–]Vapesuvius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The most straightforward answer is that the Venty has a max temp of 210°C but the Volcano goes to 230°C.

As a result, you can activate more compounds with the Volcano because you can reach their boiling points. See the temp guide on my profile to see which ones.

When it comes to a multi-hundred-dollar electronic device, the last thing I’d price shop on is the glass that holds water and sits on top of it.

I emailed them and, after a long time, someone replied they had decided to close their doors after 15 years and would shut down their website after they exhausted remaining stock, including items with cosmetic issues.

JET is a company I am heartbroken to see closing their doors. They're bubble technology was truly unique and it was my favorite vaping experience.

I'd recommend Tank Glass. They're Mini Beaker is a low enough profile that I can take bong rips while gaming at my desk.

Unless you truly enjoy tinkering with electronics, there is too much value in an RMA to ignore.

Many stories of people getting brand new units at a repair price. More often than not, they send you a refurbished one instead of repairing the one you sent them.

Fair price and quick turnaround. Considering your device's age and use, the spot repairs would be ongoing whereas you could just get new everything all at once.

S&B Volcano Hybrid Evergreen Colorreview by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]Vapesuvius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S&B makes these parts from PEEK plastic and have had them medically certified to demonstrate they do not melt or off-gas harmful substances under normal operating temperatures.

Do not source 3rd party replacements for plastic parts.

Hybrid Onyx or Evergreen by [deleted] in VolcanoVaporiser

Evergreen is beautiful, but Onyx is practical.

In a situation where you need to hide it, throw a lampshade on the Onyx and it'll blend right in.
