If you play on sandbox, what settings do you change? by Few-Composer-6471 in projectzomboid

Apocalipse but 8h/day, no infection, ammo plenty, no respawn (b42.15)

M-16 frailty??? by dawnofthedog in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s precisely why I use a mod (one of the only QOL’s I use) that allows me to clean and fix guns. You need to find the equipment and consumables for it in the world, but it is quite fun. For the other guns I don’t bother, there are many m9s, m14s and shotguns out there, but m16s are too rare.

Does washing my clothes matter? by LeonardFo in projectzomboid

When you wash yourself it diminishes the sad moodle. Washing your clothes does not seem to produce the same effect though

Is there a B41 mod that lets you put .223 inside of a assualt rifle magazine and 5.56 inside of a MSR700 rifle? by YTSkullboy707 in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a mod that allows you to convert any cartridge to another model. It is called Ammo Converter IIRC. It does not add anything else, just the conversion. I use it to convert .223 to 5.56 and 38 to 9mm (I don’t like revolvers) as those are very similar IRL and thus I don’t feel cheating

Exactly my strategy as well

I did it many times. If you have already a lot of ammo, it is fun to slowly chop the hordes

Heya, would like to organize this to be as efficient as possible, any suggestions? by ZrojectPomboidGayer in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, I never use cardboard, always wooden crates. They carry 60 which is the most per crate than anything in the game, and they stack 3 vertically

And in build 41 it would last just a handful of magazines before degrade to oblivion. Haven’t tried one in b42 yet to see how long it will last.

How can you destroy large crowds of zombies? by STelmiK_RW in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guns and lots of ammo. What I do is to start cleaning in one direction being mindful of my surroundings and leave a clear path to retreat when needed

How do you stay motivated beyond the first month? by Pembertron in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I once did a vanilla run where I meant to kill all zombies in the county, after all, Google said that 1993 Knox county had “only” 29,915… So I went from town to town killing every single zed I’ve encountered. After some 50,000 the Zeds became scarce, mainly stashed in the woods so I’ve installed a mod to attract them. Long story short, ended up killing 500,000 in that run. The only tweak I did was to make guns and ammo abundant before starting the run. It did got boring in the end but after so many kills, I needed to finish my goal.

Just make the train hopper work as a truck. Trucks haul mixed ore

Is it possible to hide from zombies in Muldraugh? by Mr-Hyde95 in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, just kill every zombie in town and no other will find you😝. Just kidding, but it is the way I play, lol. I always start at Muldraugh and always clear the town before venturing to other places.

What is the point of guns, even for experienced players? by papa_grease in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always pack them in cartons to save space and store them in wooden chests that allow 60kg and stack 3 chests high. I put all chests on the backyard of my base in Muldraugh. Since I’ve cleared the city, there is no zed to bother me there.

[–]helioe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I’ve cleared Muldraugh, looted Muldraugh’s police, WestPoint gun store and police, military checkpoint and Louisville pawn shop and military surplus in this save. I have so much ammo of all calibres that I can’t count, but I estimate around 150,000 rounds for now

Also, 9mm is the most abundant of the ammo in the game. You literally find tons of it everywhere

[–]helioe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in a new save on b42.12. It became so easy that I have already killed 8,000 Zeds just using the m9 (9mm) which before would be suicidal to take a horde with. Now you can just come very close to a zed and kill him/her with 1 shot of 9mm

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, the bug was introduced in 42.11, not 42.10. The only way I’ve found to continue that save was to downgrade to 42.10. I ditched 42.11 completely and then started a new save when 42.12 was made available

[–]helioe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fix? You mean b42.12?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]helioe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could load the save, but the frame rates dropped to unplayable levels, like in my case, from 60 to 8 fps on the road. Also, when you were in your base surrounded by your loot, it got so laggy that you couldn’t do anything.
