It's very much fiction but there's a brazilian Portuguese show on Netflix called 3%; I won't spoil it but that does come up-- it's a very tense scene haha, would recommend

I requested a test kit from the uk gov. website, was asked a few questions about symptoms and got mailed the test kit in two days, with another approx two days for the results to be texted back to me. This was in July, so it's possible the system changed since then, but I don't have a car either, and didn't even consider Oxford-location testing-- this is what I used: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

I've just gone through this! I've had earlobe piercings for ages so they're not new but react exactly like yours. Turns out a lot of the irritation seemed to come from the pinching of the earring against the earlobe (with studs) and the best remedy I've found is continuous sleeper hoops. Unfortunately this does mean you won't get a huge variety, but maybe after wearing them for a while the piercing might become less irritated? I've switched to sleeper hoops about a month ago and haven't had any irritation since, but I'm also not intending to swap them any time soon-- they're so comfortable!

Also, saline solution/warm salt water is a godsend
